Born June 27, 1944 passed away November 24, 2015 in the embrace of his loved ones.
Fierce entrepreneur and charismatic builder of businesses, he was the self-made man. He seized life and the good things it could offer at every opportunity to share with those he loved and protected. He always made the time to share his sage advice with genuine interest and sincerity. He loved his time with family, his dogs, his properties, the spectacular sunshine in Florida and being on the water.
Oldest son of Jessie Taylor and Herbert Taylor Sr., brother of Bob Taylor, Dianne Koutsaris, and Steve Taylor. Already profoundly missed by his partner of more than 20 years Joanne Bedard, son Erin Taylor (Jessica), grandchildren Rhea and Ethan, daughter Leigh Taylor (Kevin Bott) and their mom Ursula Taylor.
The kindest of thanks to the nursing staff of Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre and Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their compassion.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Saturday December 5 from one o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at two o’clock.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Cancer Research Society (www.crs-src.ca) or Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca). Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.

My Condolences to all Herb Taylor’s Family and Friends, especially Bob, Steve and Diane who I knew the best.. I have wonderful memories of Herb, a great Boss and Mentor from my early years working at Taylor Records / Circle of Sound. Many fascinating Road Trips providing Opportunities to talk about business and life in general. Herb, as I have seen written in other messages of condolence, gave me responsibility and direction while working at a position in an industry I loved. I truly admired him long after our time together
and always hoped I would run into him again.
I came by the notice of Herb’s passing quite by accident a day or two later, but I feel it was no coincidence. Godspeed Herb.

So sorry I am so late with my condolence. I only just found out.
I worked with Herb Bob and Steve starting in 1977 at Circle of Sound.
Herb was a pleasure to work for and always enjoyable to be around.
My years at Circle of Sound , Taylor Records were some of my finest and funnest . Always interesting and something new , Herb would always come up with new challenges and out of the ordinary tasks that were just alot of fun. Too many to list.
Herb … thank you for the vote of confidence in my early years. It served me well for so long.
Rest well my friend.
Mike Demone
( Circle of Sound driver 1977 to 1981 )
