Doug and I last chatted at the local food store. A true Scot he was shopping specials, we shared his humour of the day and spoke of our dear Larry. There is no doubt for me that Larry and he are once again together. His smiling eyes will always be remembered.
My thoughts to his family as they embrace life without his unique character. He will be missed by many.

It’s hard to know what to say but I saw this and perhaps in the days to follow that you may find comfort in this poem.

    God looked around His garden
    and found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
    and lifted you to rest
    God’s garden must be beautiful
    He only takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
And so God whispered quietly “Peace be thine”

    With heartfelt sorrow Catherine Barry-Zuana

I find myself struggling to find the right words to express my condolences. They are only words; they can not ease the pain; they do not change the reality of Doug’s passing.
Only time will ease the pain; only time will….
We learn to adapt but we never stop missing the one we loved.
    Goodbye to a wonderful man.
