Arthur was born in Scotland on August 5, 1937. He left school at age 12 and began to work delivering coal and looking after pigs. He married in March 1959 to his wife of 67 years Annie (nee Hughes) and they had 3 children. Arthur devoted his life to his family. He was a man with the greatest respect for others; always put everyone else before himself. He brought his family to Canada in 1978. He worked in the food manufacturing business until age 79. He loved his work and his co-workers who became his second family – respecting them the same as he did his own family. Everyone who knew him quickly grew to be his friend. Arthur will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday afternoon, October 19 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 60 Allan Drive, Bolton, on Tuesday, October 20 at 11 a.m. Followed by cremation.
