Passed away peacefully at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, after a lengthy battle with heart problems, Alverda Dorthey Courtney, in her 66th year, loving wife for 33 years of Ronald Courtney. Devoted mother of Ronda and her husband Mark, Nancy and her husband George, and Anne. Cherished grandmother of Morgan, Daniel, Jake and Sarah-Jane. Predeceased by her parents John Henry (Harry) and Violet Moffatt (nee Sheardown) and her infant sister. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Friday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 24 at one o’clock. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.
