Allan Ross Pagan

September 15, 2021 By Egan Funeral Home 20 Condolences

Pagan Web Frame

It is with the heaviest of heart I announce the passing of my beloved brother Allan Ross Pagan on September 13, 2021.  Born in Orillia on May 11, 1948, Ross passed peacefully in his 74th year at his home in Bolton, Ontario of natural causes.

Ross called Orillia home for the first 60 years of his life, involved in Terrier’s Hockey and the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club and worked in the automotive industry until he retired from the Sunshine Car Wash. Ross had a passion for helping others.  After retirement he spent many happy years caring for his Mother.  Following her death in 2002, he began to volunteer at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.  In 2011, Ross moved to Bolton to be closer to his sister and brother-in-law, and became a volunteer at the King Nursing Home where he was a cherished member of staff until his death.

Ross is survived by his sister Lynn Lubitz and her husband Dan of Orangeville, nephew Josh Pagan and wife Stephanie, their 3 children Sam, Isabelle and Eli of Ottawa, nephew Clint Pagan and his wife Tara of Orillia.  Ross leaves us to join his parents, Hubert and Margaret Pagan, and brothers Glen and Bruce, whom he always missed deeply.

Ross touched many lives during his life. He will be sadly missed by Lynn and Dan, their nephews, and their families.   His loss will also be felt by his Uncle Bill and Aunt Mary of New Germany, NS, many favoured cousins both on the East Coast and in Orillia, close friends and the many lives he cared for over the years.

Ross, your loss has left a huge space in our hearts. May you rest peacefully in eternity until we meet again.

A celebration of life will be held on October 16, 2021.   Due to Covid restrictions, this will be Invitation only.

Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

To Ross’s family, I am saddened to hear of Ross’s passing. Ross was a passenger of mine many trips from his home on the north hill to The King Nursing Home or the return to his home when I was a volunteer for CCS. It was always such a pleasure to see Ross and to listen to his stories….. Al Squires

Ross will be so missed at King. He always had time to chat when l visited my mom who called him the “label ” man because when she got a new piece of clothing he would put her name on it so it didn’t get lost. He was such a kind and gentle soul. May he rest is peace.

Ross was such a gentleman, and he would never say no to helping anyone. Ross helped with completing surveys, fundraising, bazaars, tours, audits, gardening help, resident companionship, community advocate for long term care and King Nursing Home, family liasons, relief screener and just about anything else he was asked to do. His gentleness, compassion, caring, infectious smile and laughter will be greatly missed. He was always there when anyone needed his support. Even when he wasn’t doing too well, he pushed himself though and didn’t miss days coming to King Nursing Home. He loved to be here with the residents and lending a helping hand. It was indeed a privilege to know and to work with Ross. We will deeply miss him.

Ross, our Friend, saying good-bye is so difficult and we will miss you.

Ross was an amazing spirit with a huge heart. Ross would help anyone that would ask for his help without hesitation. Ross would help me gather residents for programs, outings, assist me with the cat, as well as prepare the white board before I arrived in the morning. He would come in on the weekend to help out when we were short staffed. He was always there to talk to you when you needed it. I remember he would always bring in a coffee for me in the morning. I miss seeing you as soon as I come in the door. I will miss our conversations and your funny stories and jokes. Your laughter and smile was contagious that I will never forget. Many say that people come into our lives for a reason and Ross has definitely left a lasting legacy of compassion and love towards others.

Thank you for the amazing memories my friend.

Bye for now until we met again.

Ross. We spent many years together at King Nursing Home. You were a HUGE help when we needed a laugh or a shoulder to cry on. You encouraged us to keep going and giving when so many of us were tired and exhausted. You my friend were truly an Angel sent to us at King. You were always there to lend a hand no matter what and no questions asked.
    Heaven has gained another Angel.
Until we meet again my friend!

    Lynn and family.

Been wondering where Ross was for a while. Wanted to call him to say hi but just didn’t. No good reason. Anyway we often talk about the old days at the car wash. Mostly good memories. Ross was always missed and the family atmosphere we had at that business. I’m sure you have lots of good memories. He was a part of my life for many years (I think 32). Take care of yourself.
