Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Sunday, January 26, 2014, Daniel Mahar, in his 77th year, beloved husband of Gayle Patching. Dear father of Sandra, Craig, Wendy (David MacDonald), Lesley (Blaine Sleep) and Scott. Survived by his 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 8 siblings. Fondly remembered by his step-children Laura, Raymond and Philip.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Wednesday morning, January 29 from 11 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12 o’clock. We were very saddened to hear about Dan. He obviously was a private man as he never told us he was unwell so we were shocked to hear that he had died.
