My deepest condolences to the rest of the family.
Ida was a mother to me when the children were young and a grandmother to Diane and Brian.
Ida was a beautiful person inside and out and loved by all.
Wish we could be with you in your time of sorrow, but just read this notice and do not have time to fly from Vancouver.

    Sincerely,

    Helen (Rayburn/Self) Lester

My grandmother, the one who helped me, taught me, showed me, played and laughed as a child. I remember grandpa and Rusty, your special sandwiches and the smell of a cup of your special tea. In me there will always be you and because of you I am me.

Even though she was grandma by marriage, she was always “my grandma” and the only one I had growing up. I will never forget how much fun we had making those special sandwiches for the race track and having baggies filled with sweets to take home with us or always wondering why she kept the cereal in the oven. She was a beautiful person inside and out, with a generous heart always giving. She will be sadly missed by us all and wish we could be there today to help celebrate her life, but we will be in thought.

I remember Ida with much love. I lived just down the street from her as I was growing up and had many wonderful visits with her. She was a very kind, sweet woman. When my child was born she took great interest in her also.

She will be greatly missed – she made a difference in people’s lives and touched them deeply!

Even though I cannot be there, my sincerest condolences to the family.

Our family has so many wonderful memories of Ida.
Ida & our mother Jean Cooney were good friends & visited many times a week or spoke on the telephone.
Ida & Jean also had several trips together, they enjoyed these trips & especially a trip to Vancouver many years ago. They both enjoyed a happy family life.
Ida had alot of knowledge of wildlife & plants which she was kind enough to share with us over the years.
    A very special lady.
    Condolences to her family.
