Passed away at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 67, Michel Joseph Boileau, beloved husband of Sandra Boileau (née Mathews) for 46 years. Loving father of Jim Boileau (Daniela) and Rick Boileau (Cassandra). Loving Papa of Ellarose, Avery, Emma, Penelope, Isabella and Bentley. Caring brother of Gilles Boileau (Gisele), Serge Boileau (Brenda) and Francine Evans (Larry). He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Helen Mathews and brother-in-law Kevin Mathews (Christine). Mike will fondly be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Isola (née Dupéré) Boileau, and father-in-law Ernest Mathews.
Retired car salesman, hardworking and dedicated man are just a few things to describe Mike. He loved playing golf in his spare time, watching baseball and hockey. Big fan and collector of the Montreal Canadians. Mike enjoyed being with family and friends whenever there was a get together. He was so happy he and Sandra moved to Penetang in July of 2023 and would love his morning coffee down at the Penetang Harbour. His family and friends will never forget him.
Arrangements entrusted to Penetanguishene Funeral Home. As per his wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends are invited to join the family for memorial visitation at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy. 50), Bolton, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Mike would be greatly appreciated by his family.
