    Our sincere sympathy to Ruby’s family. Ruby was a fine lady, a genuine person with the love of music and dance. Her memory will live on with us as we dance the Nobleton Waltz (her choreography). A good friend to many and loved by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

    We extend our sympathies to the McCauley Family.

    We got to meet and know Ruby through our involvement in the old time music scene. My wife is a fiddler and I am a square dance caller.

    We shared many times at events as Ruby often sat at our table and any time I danced a slow fox trot with her, it was always a “2fer”, because she would sing along as we danced.

    We have many good memories. We shall miss her.

    Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ruby McCauley.
    For many years Ruby was a regular at the Barrie/Thornton Fiddle Club. Her contributions to the evening were always enjoyed by all. Ruby called square dances “only if no one else wants to” and she made sure the fiddlers stayed in line! Ruby loved to step dance and we were always delighted when those special shoes appeared. In later years she would sit on a chair and her feet would fly. Ruby knew the words to all the old songs and would sing along, Ruby told us stories of bygone years of family and friends with a twinkle in her eye and a laugh in her voice.
    We miss Ruby.

    George & I send our Condolences to Ruby’s Family ; A Great Loss for All Of You ; ..Please accept our Sympathies ;

    Ruby ,So Suited her name..as She was a “Gem’ , an Extremely Beautiful Lady, with Music in her Soul !

    With Her kind way of ‘help’ for” we beginners”..to Square Dancing..”

    We shared many laughs, while we blundered; And We will always remember her that way;…So Helpful..; and her Wonderful Laugh, ( even if She Was Laughing ‘At you’ !! ) So Much Fun !!

    I also remember her sitting .(.which ever ‘jam’ it may be , when she wasn’t feeling ‘her best’) ,And those dancing feet of hers never stopped and ..YES! She sang every word of Every Old Song
    Ruby was a Delight to Know..and of course we fell in love with her immediately ..,As Everyone we KNOW did !!

    She will be missed on ‘This Dance Floor’, Here; , however, her ”New One” will be Wonderful For Her”..!

    And THAT is the Way I see Her, and Say our Good-Byes to Lovely Ruby Mc Cauley ;

    Dance On Beautiful Lady !! Dance On !

    She Will Be Missed !

    I was very sad to hear the news that great grandma had passed. She lived an extraordinary life and I imagine she saw and did a lot of amazing things. She will be missed by so many. I’m very sorry I live so far away and can’t be with the family at this time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    I remember going to my Aunt Ruby’s place in Alton in the early 50’s as a kid singing songs with my Aunt Ruby on the fiddle and some of us up dancing. She taught us to sing songs and I have lots of fond memories and I will her deeply. Love you Bill Spooner.
