Peacefully, with his wife Wendy Beales by his side, at Bethell Hospice, Inglewood, on Friday, August 16, 2019, Walter Tersigni left us in his 57th year. Cherished step-father of Rhonda Avery, devoted Nonno of Madeleine and Jessica Avery. Loved son of Domenic and Maria Tersigni. Dear brother of Frank and Lori Tersigni, Cynthia Tersigni, Daniella and Nick Restivo. Fondly remembered by his nieces Claudia Tersigni and Delilah Tersigni, his nephews Domenic Restivo, Carmelo Restivo, Alessandro Tersigni, and Benjamin Tersigni along with Zio Mario and Zia Graziella Lancia and Walter’s cousins Theresa, Anna Maria and Anthony.
Walter was born on April 7, 1963 in Toronto. He was an avid road cyclist, accomplished mountain biker, and enjoyed downhill mountain biking. Walter loved to travel with his wife Wendy and his family. Walter and Wendy travelled and rode all over Canada, US and New Zealand. Spending time with his granddaughters Madeleine and Jessica brought him great joy. He loved to ride with his nephews Alessandro and Benjamin.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Wednesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 6 – 8 o’clock.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning, August 22 at 11 o’clock.
Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Woodbridge.
The family wishes that donations to Bethell Hospice Foundation be given in lieu of flowers.

I have known Walter for most of my life and from the first time I was introduced to him to the last time we physically spoke he has never changed. To me he was always a genuine and humorous individual and lived life on his own terms. I will never forget the many conversations we had about his cycling journeys with Wendy and the smile it brought upon his face. I would always tell him to be careful of any bears around and he would simply laugh. I will miss him always but never forget how gentle of a man he was and the way he has always treated me. I felt like he was always a second brother to me. The entire family should be so proud to say that Walter was a part of them and he is so deserving to have a family who has shown him the unconditional love you have all shown.
