Peacefully at Maplewood Nursing Home, Brighton, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, Helena Cecilia Gresiowski, formerly of Nobleton, in her 96th year, beloved wife of the late George Oldfield. Dear mother of George and his wife Myrna, Oakville; Shirley and her husband Douglas Young, Brighton. Loving grandmother of Tracy and Alan Baker, Tamara and Tony Cocciardi, Tricia Oldfield and Joey Proulx; Cheryl and Scott MacRae, Laura Young and Bob Wright, and Stacey Young. Loving great-grandmother of Sarina and Alex Baker, Dylan and Dawson Cocciardi, Aiden, Liam and Logan MacRae and Helena, Anna and Michael Wright. Dear sister-in-law of Fred and Pauline Oldfield and Phyllis Oldfield. Predeceased by sisters Mary Hilliard and Jenny Hines. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), (905-857-2213) on Friday, January 17 from 12 noon until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 o’clock.
Following a reception at the funeral home, interment Nobleton Community Cemetery.
