Dear Janet and family.
I was so sorry to hear of your loss of a husband, father and friend. I remember meeting Cory many years ago up home in Quadeville. I’ve followed him through his website and his documentaries. He was talented beyond belief.
Janet I’m sending you and your girls all my love and my deepest sympathy. God bless all of you. Remember all those special memories you made with him and yes he will live on in those two beautiful girls you and Cory created. Love you Janet. Sending you and your girls a big warm hug.

It is with deep sadness and profound grief that I learn of the passing of my friend and fellow artist Cory Trepannier. From the first time we worked together in the early nineties to my recent email exchanges with him, it was always evident what a remarkable man he is, this presence matched equally so by his expressive talent as Canada’s finest landscape artist and adventurer. He will be missed; his legacy lives on.

Anne Lich and I have fond memories of our visit to your farm and lovely studio filled with Arctic , Kluane Lake and Lake Superior scenes. What a beautiful studio lined with that lovely Madawaska Valley pine .How amazing it was to see Cory creating those majestic Arctic scenes and how sorry we felt for him as he trekked across dangerous Arctic ice fields and attempted to paint as swarms of black flies were on the attack .
Janet , what a wonderful support you and your daughters have been to your dear Cory. We pray for God’s blessings and comfort for you . Anne and I will always treasure our last visit with you two years ago and enjoy looking at the lovely picture of Cory and Anne posing in front of a favourite Arctic scene in your home studio .

My deepest sympathy in your loss. I enjoyed receiving and reading his newsletters and most recently I enjoyed his film. Seeing him painting in the Arctic and interacting with his family and friends was such a gift.
He was a giant of a man and an extraordinary Canadian Artist.
