I did not know Ralph for a very long time, only since August 2017 when I started to visit him in Grace Manor at Holland Christian Homes .Ralph was a private man, but we sure developed a personal rapport. This was no doubt helped by the fact that I am familiar with Ralph’s birthplace Berkel Rodenrijs, close to my native The Hague, was a junior officer in the Netherlands army and am quite aware of the often difficult immigrant experience in the forties in the Niagara/St. Catharines area. We could talk planes too, for sure, with all of Ralph’s interesting knowledge.
As well, it was in the fall of 2017 that Ralph told me of his wife’s passing just a year before. I could empathize, having lost my spouse already in 2003.
I count it a privilege I “happened” to have to visit Credit Valley Hospital with my son on two occasions, two weeks apart.
The second visit took place when there was not much time left for Ralph and I am still moved by the fact that I could pray for him and commend him to God’s care, who took care of him only a few hours later. Please accept my deep sympathy with Ralph’s passing. May the Lord be with you.

Hello. I am not sure this email will reach anyone. I was just made aware of Ralph’s passing. I joined the RCAF in the summer of 1964 and met Ralph. Courses 6405 and 6406 . We all went to Central Officers School/ training together in Centraila Ontario. Joe Elliott made me aware this morning. I have sent the notice to many other Air Force Officers. We had a Reunion in 2014 in Comox and I talked to Ralph [ your Dad ? ] and so want him to come but I am not sure he was well enough. What a great guy. Ross Forman Surrey BC. 6045383130

I wrote the above for the email address I had. But it is not available now.
