Born August 14, 1931, a longtime resident of Bolton, Ontario, passed away on March 30, 2016, due to end stage complications of dementia. George was predeceased by his wife Lily Reid Queen O’Neil Copland and survived by his children Elizabeth, David and Elaine and grandchildren Jennifer, Meghan, Daniel and Maud.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Monday, April 4th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 o’clock.

Liz, David, and Elaine, I’ m so sorry for the loss of your Father George. As being a Neighbor for a good portion of my life, I have many Fond memories of him. After the breakup of my first marriage and moving back home in the 90’s, and even to his last years at the house when I visited my Dad, I will forever miss him calling me over to the backyard fence and sharing a story, or one of his classic Jokes. George, my Dad, and myself would often talk over the fence and enjoy a Beer or two. Even to this day, when I visit Dad, I look over to the fence and miss seeing him.Good memories for me. That’s how I will always remember him. He’s at peace now, and best of all he’s with your Mom !
