My condolences to our whole family for the loss of our beloved Dad, he will be sadly missed. I will forever remember fondly the many experiences and interests dad shared with me throughout my life and that are an integral part of who I am. I will never pick up a fishing pole, shoot a firearm, golf, ride a horse, watch a hockey game or make a roux without thinking of my father. I will miss our lengthy political discussions which always included Dads’ ongoing advocacy for greater support for Veterans. I am more than grateful for the precious time I spent with Dad before he left. The pain is now gone, may he rest in peace. Love, Rhonda

I cannot bring back the old days Dad when we were all together,
but memories keep you close to me and memories last forever.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Dad, although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
may looking back in memories of you, help comfort us tomorrow. Your loving Son.

    Dear Sonny, Wynne and family,

“You don’t get over it, you just get through it. You don’t get by it, because you can’t get around it. It doesn’t ‘get better’; it just gets different. Everyday…Grief puts on a new face.” -Wendy Feireisen

What follows next is the comfort in knowing that “when you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know”. They still are here and love you yet; they have not wandered far away–They are not “lost” nor “gone”, they walk beside you each day unseen, unheard, but always near. They heal your sorrow and restore your faith in tomorrow helping your heart to grow comforted and calm.

May memories of your father and the love of family and friends surround you and give you strength in the days. ahead.

Wishing you happier days ahead with no more sadness.

In our prayers with love and sympathy,
    Tony, Jacquie and Leighton

    To Sonny’s Family
We had the pleasure of meeting Sonny through our good friend Jan several years back.
We enjoyed immensely all the many life experiences & stories that he so freely shared with us.
Sonny was such a kind & generous man & dedicated friend to both Jan & her Mom.
I will personally alway have fond memories of the times I was invited to join him & cousins at the Casino for Martini night.
Thanks to Sonny’s generosity, tickets were always available for concerts at the Casino.
His infectious smile & laugh will be missed by all.
Good Bye our friend & May you Rest in Peace.

    To the Whole Family

My condolences to you all on the passing of your friend, husband, dad and Grandfather
He will always be cherished and remembered. He had a very wonderful life full of many adventures and challenges.
His stories and his humour in the way only Sonny with his gruff voice could say it, would always bring a smile and will always be remembered.
He imparted to many people who worked under him a good work ethic and management skills that are evident today in those who received them
He didn’t back down under pressure whether from a person or a problem when he felt he had the best solution and that is what also makes a great manager. He would stand with you when attacked and teach you when you fell.
To my friend, mentor and teacher, thank you.
    Jeff and Sue Bousfield

    Dear Kathryn and family
I’ve just learned today that your father Sonny has passed away.

He was such a close friend to the family and like a brother to my father Wally, since they were children.

I was unaware of your father’s illness as I would have been to see him as he was there for my father.

    My deepest sympathies and condolences,

    Brian and Charmane Burton
