Condolence from Irene & Duane McPhail on March 25th, 2013 7:23 pm

Outspoken, opinionated and the life of the party, that’s how I remember my aunt Yvonne. It was a lot of fun catching up with her at the corn roasts, and it was evident that she was immensely proud of Kim and Randy and the grandkids. Irene and I will certainly miss her…

Condolence from Judy McKeown on March 26th, 2013 9:34 am

My father George McKeown (currently in Myrtle Beach SC), my brother Doug McKeown, myself, Judy McKeown and Jim Hickman our son and daughter-in-law Jamie and Jessica will sadly miss Yvonne. She was Jim’s Chief BBQ helper at the cottage, Jamie and Jess’s gardening advisor and was always great company at our cottage and our get togethers. Jamie said if we all even pick up a small percentage of Yvonne’s happiness as a person, we’ll all be better people.

I only got to know Yvonne in the last 6 years, every other Friday I would be there for an hour or more. It started off as cleaning and quickly became a friendship. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family whom I have never met but know them well. Yvonne was a little person with a big heart and would tell it like it was….she held nothing back. I will miss her smile and laughter and phone calls.

Sending hugs to Kim and Randy and family. Brenda and I have fond memories of John and Yvonne dancing up a storm at our wedding. Yvonne had green thumbs, a sharp wit and a kind welcoming heart.
