Unfortunately my mother Freda is in L.A. and as a result cannot attend the funeral. Yvette lived with us in her younger days, I was a teenager at the time and have fond memories of her taking me swimming and doing my hair for my birthday. I met her son Alex when he was just a boy of 8 or 9. Our deepest sympathies to you Alex and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Jacquie Egan

I offer my sincere condolences to the extended family. I knew Yvette when she was a little girl, she would watch the men sweeping at the cemetary, where her Uncle and grandparents lived and say,: Nana, nana, mens too can sweep nana.”
I met her again briefly when she first came to Canada. I remember her Mum and Dad from India as I was friends with Gillian, Unity and Freda and spent many good days at their home in Madras.
God Bless you all and give you comfort in your time of grief.

Dear Alex and family we met you as a baby and remember your mother well. We are so sorry to hear about your mum and can’t imagine the pain you must be experiencing at this time as death is such an unnatural thing no matter how it comes. We can find comfort from knowing our heavenly father feels our pain, as we have the account of Jesus (who is made in Gods image) in John 11:33-35 when Jesus saw how his friend Lazarus’ family was weeping and distraught over their brothers death Jesus’ spirit became troubled and he gave way to tears even though he knew his father would give him the ability to resurrect his friend. So Alex hold to the right of God he feel your pain and longs to return your mum to her loved ones and remove death forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers love Mike & Debbie Egan and family

As Yvette’s father..I would like to thank each and everyone for their messeges of condolences..Thank you for remembering my daughter…..

The world’s a strange place to live in and the good lord works in so many ways..He’s taken my daughter to heaven ..my dear Yvette whom we always loved… we’ve shared precious moments together..the laughter..the joy and also tears..the good and bad times as well..we shared them all through the years and all I have now are the fondest memories of my daughter who gave all of her short lifetime and never once counted the cost!
As we look upon your picture..sweet memories I recall….of a face so full of sunshine and a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus…tell her just how much I miss her and give her all my love and listening with my heart…I’ll hear all of her love so soft and clear…and when I must go her way …she’ll greet me with a smile and say..”Welcome to Heaven” daddy !

Condolence from Alexander Livingstone Meadwell Jr. (son) on July 15th, 2012 11:17 pm

I watched my Mother all my life give nothing but unconditional love to my family and I. I will never get over the loss of my Mother for she was my backbone and piller of strength in life. Lexi, Alissa, Kingston and Levi are my mother’s only Grandchildren. They loved their Grandmother and ran to her with open arms whenever they could see her. My mother lived for my family and I. That’s all that mattered to her. In return, that’s what we showed her. My Mother loved her Brothers and Sisters dearly and told me how she wanted all of them to join her in Canada. It was her dream. I watched and listened to my Mother tell and show me how important and how much she loved her Father and Mother and will never forget her Tango stories with her Father and how she applied those to my kids. When my kids dance I see the elegance and class that my Mother had through them.

Rest In Peace my beautiful Mother whom I love so very very much. Your proud son will never forget you and you will remain in my heart forever and ever untill we meet again.

Thanks to all for your prayers and strength threw this very difficult time.

Condolence from Julie ( Yvette’s daughter ) on July 16th, 2012 12:20 am

Yvette was a very special and important person in my life, and I’m not sure how to do this with out her. She only had one son and then I came along and she had her only daughter. I feel very blessed to have known her for 14 years. She has taught me more then she will ever know.
I know she’s with us I feel her every day guiding me through, especially with the kids who miss her more then anyone could imagine. Grandma was their hero, best friend, and the one to run to for anything. Thank you for everything Yvette you will always be remembered.

You made us a strong family, we will miss you dearly, always and forever.

This isn’t goodbye, this is see you later with all my love….

Condolence from Jennifer Wells (nee Daniells) on July 22nd, 2012 8:56 am

My sincere and deepest condolences are sent to Yvette’s son Alexander and his family and to all Yvette’s family where-ever they are.
Remembering Yvette, as a young girl in Madras, India, so fun-loving and bubbly and her excellence in dancing the Tango with her dad ,Bully Netto (as my late father Len Daniells of Melbourne Australia, referred to Yvette’s dad). I have often thought about Yvette and what she was doing and where she was? But sadly today I heard the news here in Sydney Australia and am very shocked and saddened for her beloved son Alex, whom I have not met. But I pray that the Lord will give you the strength and courage to bear this loss of your loving mum. She will always be there for you to guide and protect you and your family. Stay strong and God bless you all.
From Jenny and the Wells Family. Sydney AUSTRALIA.

Condolence from Pearl ( Yvette’s sister ) on August 27th, 2012 6:12 am

Condolence messege with the greatest shock because I never ever imagined god will take away my eldest sister this soon…we spoke over the phone when we lost our mother on 24march 2011..she was sobbing and asking me question after question about my family and how lucky I was to have to have a genius of a husband and so happy for me that we’re still married for almost 35 years. I’m coming to India in oct2012 is what she last told me to meet our entire family…and that I should take care of daddy and the rest in our family…until then take care of his health…give my love to my brothers and sisters ..in laws and kiss them all for me until I see them soon.. were her words that resonates in me til this day…
Yvette, remembering you is easy for I do it everyday..missing you is a heartache that never goes away..If I could make a dream come true..I’ll pray with all my heart ..for yesterday and for you but I know a thousand words can’t bring you back..I know this for I’ve tried…A million tears you have left behind and so many broken hearts and happy memories too..I never wanted you only as a memory I only wanted you..May your soul rest in peace and I’m yet to come to terms with the loss of my sister….I feel concern for your son and grandchildren and I hope you’re watching over all those you loved and love you back…Love you and miss you too much…..

Condolence from E. Devendar on November 12th, 2012 1:51 pm

Would someone confirm whether she is the same Yvette Netto who lived in Menad Street and studied in St. Mathias High School, Vepery?

If so, I was her classmate from 4th to 8th standard. She was the most beautiful girl in the school and very good in English. A very lively person and very popular with all.

I am deeply saddened by the news of her death.

,
I studied in St. Mathias School Madras. I was searching in the net for my old classmates in school. While searching Yvette, I was directed to this page:https://www.eganfuneralhome.com/2012/yvetta-angelina-netto-lindo/

I am very sad to read that she has passed away into the hands of the Lord. A classmate passing away is very painful.
May her soul rest in peace.
Yvette was my classmate in school. I remember her quite well. She had a sister a couple of years junior to us in School, Pearl.

May I offer my sincere condolences in this regard.

Condolence from Alissa Meadwell on January 20th, 2024 8:00 pm

I was 8 when you left us. I love coming to this page to read stories and memories written by the people who you loved and who loved you back. My best friend. My Grandma, the most beautiful soul I’ve ever known. I will miss you forever. I wish we got more time together, I know I had so much more to learn from you. The short 8 years we shared together will forever be the best years of my life. The way you loved will always be special to me. I’m so blessed to be able to call you my Grandma. Dad, Mom, Lexi, Kingston, Levi and I will always remember you. I never shut up about you! You are my favourite person. To never be able to fall asleep in your arms or in your bed while you sang to me and played with my hair will always make my heart ache. Tea time, gardening, cooking together, Christmases, begging dad to take me to your house because I missed you so much. Some of my favourite memories are when me and Lexi would spend the weekend at your house. I’ve never felt so loved, you made me feel so smart and so special. I miss you every second of every day. What an indescribable pain. Oh how I love you Grandma. Until we meet again, Your Rosie.
