David was always my “big cousin”, and a guy whose values I have admired for nearly 70 years. We have been part of each others lives for as long as I have existed. David and Pat’s marriage of 53 years is a model that we should all aspire to. And what amazing daughters and grandchildren they brought into this world! Thank you David and Pat for making the planet a better place. I cannot believe you are not still with us, but the memories and your wonderful legacy are immortal.

Dave and I used to chum around as friends in High School and the immediate years after. Eventually I was transferred and we lost touch. I have not seen or spoken to David in many years A mutual friend told me of David’s passing. Even though we have not seen each other for many many years. I remember David very fondly as a good and helpful friend. I very much regret this sad news. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Condolence from Robin Perri on April 26th, 2015 1:59 am

Dear dad I miss you so much !! not hearing or seeing you. As I look at the many pictures, it reminds me of your beautiful smile and laughter with others. . Dad you have been very generous and giving with Mom and us kids but also with extended family, friends, business associates and clients. Lets not forget how you loved every animal you met and they loved you back as much.
You were also generous with your advice. I recall you offering me advice on any and all my needs.. Most of his advice has served me well over the years
Specific memories start pouring out such as the road trips he took us on, Sunday drives, Sunday brunches. Where These Happy memories of Dad help to ease the pain but also bring on a deep sadness of no longer being able to continue building these memories. Dad had to deal with many challenges with his health and my mom’s, but my dad persevered, and did not complain. He doesn’t have to suffer any longer as he is with my mother now.
Love and miss you so much ! Robin

Very saddened to hear of David’s passing.
I was privileged to work with Dave for many years.
He always brought a cheerful presence to the office whenever he came in.
He was kind & courteous to a fault to all the people he worked with and to all his clients.
His sense of humor was always an uplifting gift that he shared with everyone.
My sincere condolences to all of his family.

My little cousin David. What mischief we used to get up to when were children! Then his family moved to Canada and mine stayed in the UK. We only met up again after many years but my husband Don and I and our daughters Jane and Rachel will always remember David and Pat as the warmest, kindest and most generous people one could find anywhere on earth. Our thoughts and our prayers go with Robin, Cathy, Adam and Lauren at this time.

I met your dad many times when I was at work in Bolton . He told me many lovely stories of his life growing up in Scotland . I am also from Scotlland and when we would chat I was always comforted from the way he would smile and his eyes would light up when sharing his story . He had a lot of worried time when his wife got sick but he carried on and always found time to say hello . I will miss seeing him around . I send his family my warmest wishes at this sad time and I hope you can find comfort in all the wonderful times you had together .

To the family,
My condolences during this very difficult time. I met your Dad and Mom at Alex’s and Tania’s wedding this past summer and was immediately taken by his genuine kindness he had to his wonderful wife, family and friends. You truly were lucky to have such a
wonderful man/father/uncle in your lives. I feel very fortunate to have met him – although only briefly but he definitely left a presence and will be leaving a footprint in this life.

Condolence from Pete Duncan on June 24th, 2015 6:39 pm

To the family, my sympathy to you and your extended family. I have known Dave for many years as a business associate, in the Life Insurance Business. We have sat together at various business seminars and discussed business and family. We had some great chats and shared some ideas with each other and even clients. I really enjoyed his company and was sad to hear of his passing, just last week, while I was at another seminar. I also was an agent with the original Imperial Life Assurance Company and am still working in the business. Back in December, at the Christmas party, we discussed your Mom’s health and your parents faith in the Lord. We know that both your parents are with the Lord, which I hope will give you some peace. The beautiful memories that you shared and your love for each other will last forever. God Bless you all.
