Ann and I would like to offer our most sincere condolences to Bill’s family on his passing. Bill was a true gentleman and I consider him a mentor to me in my years of Drug Enforcement in the GTA. I tried to emulate and incorporate the many positives he instilled in me as I progressed in my career. It was an honour to have worked with Bill, and more of an honour to be his friend. Ann and I

Olga and I would like to offer our most sincere condolences to Bill’s family on his passing. We have known Bill for 45 years. He was my Sgt on TDS and was a great police officer, teacher and friend. We bonded through our work, volleyball, golf and social events. Bill was in our wedding party and we remained friends after retirement and into the private sector.

An excellent policeman who led the way and mentored many of us over the years. I will remember him for his integrity, humour and for being an all around great person and friend. Rest in Peace Bill.

Bill was a great person & a really intelligent RCMP member. He had a special , comfortable way of communicating & was always thinking of every option he could. Our Par5 golf group will miss Bill’s friendly smile and post game camaraderie. His service with the RCMP was much appreciated, and as an ex member he always displayed pride and devotion to the red surge. Our sincere condolences to the family at this difficult time, but be assured that Bill and his bride are eternally together again.

Bill and I were troop mates in “D” 65/66. While our paths didn’t cross after the Academy we had similar careers. Unfortunately he was unable to attend our troop reunions because of family health issues but he was spoken of fondly by those attending. I hope he finds peace in the arms of our Lord and he’s with Dale once again.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. We met in RCMP training, Regina, 1965 and have kept in touch. Worked in Toronto for years. He was a true friend who met and married Dale – a wonderful match. It will be very difficult to fill the vacancy in humanity left by his death. We all love you BUDDY.

I was seconded to Bill’s unit in the early 90’s. Without a doubt, the best boss I ever had. My condolences to the family.

Bill was a real gentleman and a real policeman. Worked with Bill in the Toronto Drug Unit during the mid seventies and later dealt with him on Joint Force Units. Treated we O.P.P. as equal partners and good friends. One of the best. Rest well Bill.

Sending you our deepest condolences on the passing of your father Bill. I’ve known Bill for close to 60 years while working and living together in the late sixties in Toronto. In our early years we enjoyed playing hockey together along with baseball and enjoying a game of golf. We were each other’s Best Man at our weddings. Our working relationship continued in the Toronto Drug Section and Bill was a very hard working and professional investigator and one of the good guys. Eileen and I enjoyed many social events with both your parents and all our friends. Bill and I really enjoyed golfing together these past few years and I always looked forward to enjoying his sense of humour when reading his Christmas letters. I am grateful for the friendship I had with Bill for so many years and he will be missed. Sadly, I was unable to attend his service as I was away in Cape Breton. We are thinking of you all.
