93 years young, passed peacefully on Monday, July 14th, 2025. She was surrounded by love and lived the fullest of lives. Deeply loved by her late husband Kosta, survived by her daughter Lily and her husband Douglas, son Kenny, and his wife Sheila. Also deeply loved by her grandchildren Kevin and his wife Daniella, Lisa and her husband Goran, Sage, and Jordan. We were also blessed to have her as a great grandmother (Stara Baba & Babi), to Ethan, Leo, Mila, and Liam.
Vasilka was born in Resen Macedonia in 1931 where she lived until her migration to Canada with her daughter in 1960. Her husband migrated shortly prior to establish a home for his family, which grew thereafter when their son Kenny was born. Vasilka lived in Toronto, Ontario until moving into her forever home in Bolton, Ontario, during October of 1987. She raised her two children while working at Women’s College Hospital as a server in the cafeteria, which was her favourite job. Known to her friends as “Susie”, she valued hard work and generosity throughout her life. Home and family were the pride and joys of her life. She loved gardening, knitting, baking, and cooking delicious meals with her apron. Most of all, she loved making others happy.
We will miss her deeply but are so appreciative of the time we got to spend with her. We are at peace knowing that she has now reunited with the love of her life Kosta, along with family and friends who have passed before her. Her loving and caring nature has touched so many people, and we will never forget her positive spirit, funny stories, and beautiful smile. Her love and zest for life was so refreshing and we will forever hold her in our hearts, minds, and spirit.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday evening from 5 – 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Dimitrija Solunski Macedonian Orthodox Church, 201 Main Street, Markham on Tuesday morning, July 22 at 10 o’clock. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.

So very sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. As her next door neighbour for the last 16 years , I fondly remember our little chats as she sat outside on her porch. May she rest in peace and may you all find comfort in her memory.

My deepest condolences on the passing of our dear Stara Baba. I will always remember her kindness, her smile and her stories. I will forever cherish my beautiful green blanket she made for me. Baba will be fondly and deeply missed.
