Tim was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life. A bright morning always starts with a cup of coffee. He enjoyed all things nature, from taking his daily walks, to feeding and caring for animals, and tending to the gardens. All throughout his life he loved hockey, both on the ice and on the big screen. While he lived a quiet life, he touched the hearts of many.

We’re saddened to share that Timothy Dale Kapitan passed away at his residence on May 27th, 2026. Born on September 19, 1969, Tim was a beloved son of Harold and Jean Kapitan (deceased). He will be greatly missed by his siblings Pat Moody (Ron Moody), Sue Hicks, David Kapitan, Danny Kapitan; nieces and nephews Katrina Sopaj, Thomas Moody, Crystal Hicks, Jennifer Hicks, Greg Kapitan, and Dustin Kapitan; his grand-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Coffee Time in Bolton on Sunday June 14th from 3-5pm.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Tim. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

Tim and I went to elementary school together. I will always fondly remember the days we spent playing hockey and football with the gang on William Street. He had a wonderful spirit, and those carefree days we shared are a part of my youth I will always cherish.
