The family of Thomas ‘Tom’ Gross are saddened to announce his sudden passing on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital. In his 85th year with family by his side, he left behind his beloved wife Bonnie Hamilton. Cherished father of Kevin and his wife Gunda, Melissa and his beloved daughter Anne (deceased). He will be fondly missed by Grandchildren Markus and Carol, Matthias and Erica, Mareike and Jordan, Paige, Michael, McKenna and Great Grandchildren William, Lionel and Orson.
There wasn’t a sport he didn’t love, but his passion for golf was his absolute joy, enjoying a round with his old friends at the famed Glen Eagle golf course, he could spend hours on the fairway. Tom grew up in Toronto then moved to Bolton to raise his family. He loved camping with the family, spending numerous summers in the Pinery and trips to Disney World with kids and Grandkids. After retiring in Wasaga with Bonnie and having to slow down, his happy days were seen at the ‘bark park’, sipping his coffee and sharing stories with all that came with their dogs. He’s now sitting around the campfire with his sweet daughter Anne and trusted dog Sadie.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. S. (Hwy 50), Bolton, (905-857-2213) with a memorial reception on Tuesday, May 20th from 5 to 7 o’clock with Words of Remembrance at 6 o’clock.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (heartandstroke.ca)
