Peacefully, in the warm embrace of his family at home, Thomas Joseph Fitzpatrick passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 92. Tom was the beloved husband of the late Sandra (Sandy) Fitzpatrick (November 2024). Cherished father of Mark and Rosalie Fitzpatrick, Trischa and Ian Lowe, Matthew and Connie Fitzpatrick. Devoted, generous and loving grandfather of Braeden and Nicole Fitzpatrick, Saeran, Norah and Gavin Lowe, Michael and Emma Rose Fitzpatrick. Dear brother of the late Paul, Mary Catherine, John, Michael, Arthur, Philip and Ralph. Generous uncle to so many loved nieces and nephews.
Tom married Sandra in 1966 – they worked together to build not only the Fitzpatrick Fuels business, but also a family with 3 children. He was extremely dedicated to the business but always found time for the garden. This was his happiest of places. He loved being challenged to grow any fruit, veggie, flower or shrub. He could often be found watering tomatoes in the dark, on his tractor cutting grass, or getting the tractor stuck, or even just sitting and enjoying his outside surroundings. He was always generous with his bountiful harvest and forever generous to his family.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton on Sunday afternoon from 1 – 4 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon on Monday morning, March 9th at 11 o’clock. Spring burial St. Cornelius Cemetery, Caledon.
