Shirley Lewis passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1936 in Stouffville to Gordon and Ethel Ball and lived a life rooted in kindness and love.
A long-time resident of Bolton, Shirley was well known for her years of service as a cashier at IGA and later at Zehrs, where her warm smile and friendly nature made her a familiar and comforting presence to many in the community.
She was a devoted mother to her sons Bob, Mike (Judy), and Ron (predeceased). She will also be lovingly remembered by Kris. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Christopher, Kyle, Zach (Noah), A.J., and Owen and her beloved great-grandchildren, Isaac and Mason.
Shirley will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The Duck Family passes on the sincerest of condolences to Bob and the rest of the Lewis family on the passing of your mom (Shirley). She was a great friend and co-worker to my mom back in her days at Zehrs. May she rest in peace.
Shirley was such a proud, kind and caring mother to all of her sons, two of which I had the pleasure of teaching. Bob and Mike had the same wonderful attitude and that was evident in later life when I was working with Bob as a Volunteer Paramedic in Bolton Ambulance and with Mike coaching my grandson in baseball. Shirley will be missed.
So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. I have such fond memories, working with her at Zehrs for so many years. Rest in peace Shirley.

I remember when I started working for Zehrs. Shirley was our go to gal. If we needed anything …ask Shirl. I always enjoyed our time together. She was a fiesty little woman. No one messed with her. Rest in Peace Shirley.
