Condolence from Martin Allain on April 12th, 2019 11:41 pm

I am saddened to hear of Sante’s passing.
As an operating engineer I worked with him professionally. Sante was a skilled crane operator, rigger and highly competent as a Tower Crane Erector /Dismantler specialist. He was also a thoughtful , kindhearted family man who always had tidbits of wisdom to share with a warm smile, a laugh , and a joyful glimmer in his eye.
The Tower Crane Industry in the Greater Toronto Area has lost a key figure.
He will be missed and remembered fondly by those of us who knew and respected him
My deepest condolences to the Gabrielli Family.
Rest In Peace Sante… Martin Allain

To a man I called my hero. In body, mind and spirit. You were a shining star to those that truly knew you, a path to greatness, a mentor, and a prime example of what a person really should be. Honourable.
You were a man that looked out for, and took care of everyone that crossed your path. An undeniably selfless man that always gladly put others ahead of himself and never expected anything in return. Ever.
You will be sadly missed. Your love may have not been vocalized, but definitely evident.
You are, and always will be, greatly missed. More than any words can ever express. More than any emotion can be conveyed. We lost a hero.
A man that worked hard, not for himself, but for others. A man that always saw windows of opportunity, not for himself, but for others.
May your memory be eternal, your presence always felt, and your name always resonate with love and honour.

Condolence from Ferruccio Mauti on April 15th, 2019 9:59 am

First and foremost, my sincerest condolences to the entire Gabrielli family for such a great loss. My heart is with you.

Sante and I met fifty four years ago, spent much time together as teenagers and young adults, and our similarities and values created a bond that could not be broken by time or life’s events. There were larger spans of time between our meetings in our later years, but the continuity of our thoughts of one another made it feel like we had just met the day before whenever we saw one another. It was something very, very special and my thoughts of Sante will continue uninterrupted.

Those that were close to him would know that his sometimes gruff exterior was completely overshadowed by the size of his heart and his integrity. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him, knew of him, and those that had the privilege and benefit of spending time with him.

In the many discussions of out younger years, Sante always believed that there was more to life than met the eye in the physical world. I sincerely hope that he was right and that he is now part of the vision that was so dear to him.

He was a special man that will be remembered forever.

Ferruccio Mauti

Condolence from L. GABRIELLI on April 15th, 2019 3:44 pm

It has been 8 days since I last saw you, spoke to you, hugged you or just sat in your presence. I miss you! I really, really miss you.
I missed the sound of your voice, your footsteps when you came to visit, with a big smile on your face. I miss your voice! I wish we could talk right now, I miss… Your words of wisdom, advice, your sense of humor, and the sound of your laughter with your funny comments.
I remember when we met 10 years ago on a job site, we started talking for hours just about life and how much I’ve enjoyed your company and felt like I knew you for years.
You have taught me so much and left me with wonderful memories, not just with me but you’ve left people with a lot of good memories of you. It gives me a feeling of warmth inside to hear these things about you and inspires me to be the kind of daughter/person you’d be proud of.
Bubba, I promise that I will pass on your wise words to my girls and keep your memories alive for the rest of my life.
Thank you, Bubba. Thank you for your love. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for being a good, hard working human being who encouraged me to be the best person I can be and to do the best I can in everything I wish to achieve with no regrets. So thank you for that.

Mostly, thank you for being not just my father-in-law but my father. I love you.
I will not say goodbye cause I know you never liked goodbyes.
Bubba, may you rest in peace until we meet again.

Sincerest condolences to the Gabrielli family on the sudden passing of a stoic man, Sante.

May he be always remembered for his strength and perseverance in his presence, his convictions, beliefs, his rhetoric – but mostly, in the love he effortlessly bestowed to his family.

His memory remains immovable – such as he was – in every way.

God bless him and those that loved him dearly.

Condolence from Nina Bugera on April 17th, 2019 10:19 pm

John 3:17
God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.

Not too long ago, Nonno told me that should I ever need anything, that’d he be there as soon as possible, and that I could always call him. Even in life he was a guardian angel. I believe I never saw him put himself ahead of anyone. He was such a pure human being. He loved deeply, but quietly. He worked hard, so that others didn’t have to. He put himself last so others could feel like they were first. He was one of the smartest men I knew, we could talk for hours.
He was able to show your worth, and make you feel so important whenever you saw him. You could see it in his eyes and smile how much he wanted for you to be happy, to have peace.
He once came to me saying “Nina, did you know that nothing is everything and everything is nothing?”
I hadn’t a clue what that meant at the time. I had come to believe it meant that if you believed in everything, that you will fall for nothing. But if you believed in nothing, you fall for everything.
He believed, wholeheartedly. Especially in those surrounding him.
But maybe I still don’t understand that ideaolgy of nothing being everything.
I had too many questions to ask him.
Too many philosophical arguments that I had to have with him.
I will miss you Nonno.
I love you. Forever & always.

-Nina
