So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. I always enjoyed her at Bolton United Church. She was active participant in many of the activities.

Condolence from Pat Kolb on December 3rd, 2020 8:44 am

My condolences on the passing of Ruth.
We always had a nice little visit when I delivered her meal from Meals On Wheels.
I was getting concerned about her health before she was moved in to Vera Davis.
She seemed quite content when I visited her there one day and fully intended to visit her on her 90th birthday but with Covid I could not do that.
May she Rest In Peace

Ruth had a wonderful sense of community. A devoted church goer, a driver for community members who needed rides for medical appointments as well as delivering meals on wheels. She helped so many; her dedication was admirable and her independence remarkable. She’s a lady we’ll deeply miss.

All of Caledon Community Services sends condolences to this tremendous woman who gave and gave and then gave some more as a volunteer driver for so many years. Ruth had her way with all of her passengers, they absolutely adored her. Who wouldn’t? Her kindness and warmth served people well.

Please accept the warmth and condolences of a very grateful community organization.

Condolence from Tammy Elliott on December 5th, 2020 8:01 pm

I’m heartbroken to hear of Ruth’s passing. I was her Caledon Meals on Wheels“friendly visitor” and continued to visit her at Vera Davis even when our visits became divided by glass because of COVID (see photo). During the pandemic, Ruth had her first FaceTime call with my family which was fun. I so enjoyed our chats about her life and travels. And she always took an interest in the well-being of my family. Because of life circumstances, I haven’t been able to visit the last few weeks. I didn’t know she took a turn for the worse and hope in her final days she knew how much I loved her.

Condolence from Pat Thompson nee (Davies) on December 7th, 2020 11:17 am

I was sorry to hear of her passing. She was always kind and had a very quick wit and sense of humour. I wish that was able to see her more and be there for her final time on this earth, but I live in Calgary and can’t travel at this time. I remember her coming out to Calgary with my mother in 1983 and helping George and I build our fence at our first home. I sure learned a lot about my grandparents and uncles. Goodbye Aunt Ruth love you
Pat Thompson

Ruth was a long time friend of my mother’s, Mary Barker. They were nurses at Thistletown hospital for children with polio in the late 40s and early 50s.
I am very sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was a lovely person.

Very sorry to hear of Ruth”s passing. She was a friend of my sister and I have fond memories of Ruth and Fred visiting our farm near Clinton and flying his model airplanes and he had a boat also that he tried out in our creek. They were a great couple and Ruth was a lovely lady.
