July 21, 1923 – October 31, 2014

 

Surrounded by the love of her family, at Aurora Resthaven, on Friday, October 31, 2014, Ruth Johnston, in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Dalton Flatt for 44 years, and the late Carl Williams. Cherished mother to Gerald and Jo-Anne (deceased), Linda, Jerene (deceased), Tom and Aaron, Glena and Greg, and daughter-in-law Linda Becic. Adored grandmother of Sandra, Pamela, Cindy, Robert, Ashley, Evan and Taylor. Fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dearest sister of Bob, Earl, Tom and twin brother Ross, (all deceased). Mom was a true, gentle soul, and will always be remembered by her brilliant smile, and understanding way. We were blessed to have her with us for all of these years. A special thanks to the care team of “G-2”, Aurora Resthaven, for their dignified professionalism over the last 3 and a half years.

The family will receive their friends and family at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Tuesday evening 7 – 9 o’clock.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning, November 12 at 11 o’clock.

Interment King City Cemetery.

Following the interment, there will be a reception at Chartwell Aurora Resthaven, 32 Mill Street (Wellington and Yonge Street), Aurora L4G 2R9.

Sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Even living to an age 92 years it is still hard when a parent leaves us. I am sure you will have many good memories that will always be with you.

We were sorry to hear about your Mothers passing. It is hard to lose a Mom. We always enjoyed chatting/ laughing with her . It was a pleasure to spend time with her and Dalt. , when they visited the Blue Mountain area.
