Born in Chinguacousy Township on August 15, 1916, Ron passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in his 100th year. Ron was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen Norton in 1997, parents Donalda (nee Woodill) and Oscar Armstrong, brother Merv and sister Freda. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and their families.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Saturday morning, October 24 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment Dixons Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9. Our sincere condolences in the passing of Ron. He was a gentle man who enjoyed his pipe, telling a good story and his friends and family. He was well thought of by all who met him at the Avalon where we got to see him.
