Condolence from Kent Gray on July 5th, 2013 12:16 pm

On behalf of the Gray family our sincerest condolences on the passing of Rob, I do not know where to start or end it has been a great pleasure and honor for me personally to have the privilege in saying Rob was not just one of my closet friends but someone I could share the most private of conversations with and knowing that confidentiality between friends would never be broken, the countless hours with talked in Robs garage or Driveway or somewhere in the yard discussing our kids their sports or school their ambitions in life always wanting the best for them, and then of coarse finding a way to solve the worlds problems and achieving those goals if they would just elect us, discussing the legal system in depth to just about any topic one could think of. Robert McComb was always there for me without blinking or hesitation and was not just a true friend but a hero to me personally, every time I look from my house to Robs I will always see him in the driveway or garage or working in the yard and all I can say is I WILL MISS MY DEAR FREIND BEYOUND WHAT MERE WORDS COULD EVER DESCRIBE, UNTILL WE MEET AGAIN ROB ALWAYS YOUR FRIEND KENT

I have lost a dear friend whose fellowship and council made my life a better one. Rob was the most fearless individual I ever met. He believed if you did the right thing and took responsibility for it, you would come out alright in the end. I will miss the laughs and long conversations. He was a fine man.

I spent many young years in our neighbourhood (Ancaster, ON) playing (mixed) football and baseball with Rob and Joanne and many others. Many great memories and Rob being senior to me presented himself as a genuine role model. To Rob’s family…please accept my sincere condolences.

Condolence from Mike DeRubeis on July 5th, 2013 11:12 pm

I am proud to say Robert was my friend for 55 years. Months and years have passed when we did not have a chance to talk but every time we did it was like we had seen each other every day. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was a devoted husband, father, son and friend. We shared so many wonderful memories from our youth and I always knew I had a loyal friend who was simply a good and honest man.

It is a sad day to hear of the passing of Rob McComb, our thoughts & condolences go out to Jan, Meaghan & Taylor in this difficult time.
Although we did not know Rob as much as most of his close friends, it was alway a pleasure to socialize with Rob & I was fortunate to go on one fishing trip with him & George Z. This is a fond memory of a great weekend, not many fish but a fun time & good fun. These are the memory I will retain to keep him dear to us.

Best regards & our thoughts will be with you over the coming days.

Robert & Roselyne

Dear Janice I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Robert. I am sorry that I never got to know him but I understand that he was a wonderful husband & father. Greg will miss the fact that he will not be going fishing with him this summer as he was really looking forward to it. They hit it off as soon as they met last Sept.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Take care.

Condolence from Michelle McCallum on July 8th, 2013 11:59 am

I was sad and disappointed when my dad called to inform me of Rob’s passing. I’m not sure I have ever known a man that liked to talk so much but I could’ve listened to him all day. That’s saying a lot since I’m a big talker myself. On behalf of my dad, mom and Trevor, we were all so proud to have known him and call him friend. I will always appreciate his willingness to help in my times of need. Thanks for everything Rob. My thoughts will be with you and and your family on this sad day.
