It is with great sadness that the Stewart family announces the passing of their husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Robert James Stewart, at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, on Sunday, September 27, 2015, in his 89th year.

The International Holsteins show herd he developed took top honours on the show circuit throughout Canada and the United States. Within ten years he was awarded the coveted “Master Breeder Shield”. R.J. exported his prize Holsteins all over the world, visiting those countries, and judging major cattle shows in Australia, England and Brazil. He was an innovator with a real eye for breeding great cattle. He will be missed by his surviving brothers and sisters, Andy (deceased) and Adele Stewart, Ailsa Craig; Dorothy and Lorne Paisley (deceased), Oshawa; Isobel (deceased) and Elmer Russell (deceased), Kingsville; Henry and Jean Stewart, Mississauga; Hilliard (deceased) and Marguerite Stewart, Parkhill; Bert and Hazel Stewart (deceased), Elora; Murray and Marian Stewart, Bolton.
