Words cannot express how deep my sorrow is for the loss of Jim. He was a wonderful man who brought humour to my day, every day. He was one of the most down to earth, honest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His friendship meant a lot to me and I looked forward to his stories and banter every day. He was an honourable man and I will miss him very much. My deepest sympathies go to his family and friends. We have all lost a great man.

I am really sorry to hear of Jims passing. I worked with Jim at Durabody before my accident happened there in 1987. He was a true friend and fun to be around. I would see him some times at Ilies farm where he would help fix a tractor or other things that needed fixing.
He will be really missed.

I have known Jim since ‘84. Jim was a genuine down to earth straight shooter, one of the best, Jimmy had, and represented the greatest of values, principles and fairness, along with a great outlook on life. Jim called a spade, …a spade, and he wasn’t too shy about telling you, but also he had a heart of gold and didn’t want you to suspect that. He helped true friends. Jimmy could stir the pot too when it needed stirring. The world will truly be a long time finding another “Jimmy” . At story time, there will be chuckles when tales of “Jimmy” events are happily recalled

Jim,
You lived life every day with such a friendly disposition, extending kindness to everyone, and always offered assistance to anyone in need. At work you were always one step ahead in performing your
duties. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you especially your humour (as mentioned before) and your personal relaxed attitude.
You have displayed in your life the description of a near perfect member of the human race and If others will follow the example you have set for a good life then the world will certainly be a better place. You will be missed by all.
My family extends our condolences to your family and loves ones.

To Jim Robinson’s family:
Family is one of the greatest gifts God has given to all of us. At times like this, we feel the distance between Canada and Nigeria. Whatever pain or difficulties Jim was experiencing is now over, but not so for those remaining. May God give comfort and peace as you mourne.
