I was so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I remember so many good times with Bob, Anne, Don and Joy Kellett and Dave and I when we all lived in Bolton. We and our families as well , were very young, but there was always laughs and a lot of fun to be had.My thoughts are with you.Connie Vanstone.

This comes as a complete surprise though I haven’t seen Bob since he left Bolton. Bob put his heart and soul into his job of Emergency Medicine, but before he worked for Toronto he began volunteering with Bolton Ambulance. He helped train many volunteers and I enjoyed working with him for many years. He was quick-witted and dedicated and always had a smile. I will miss Bob.

Bob and I rode our bikes around Ormond Beach and enjoyed each others company shuffle boarding and actually we were 4 th place in Volusia County Florida. He loved the pot lucks at the club house and we always had a good time. There will be a void in my life now that he is gone. May the family and friends all know he loved them all.

Bob one of a kind There will never be another quite like him .gave 100% to whatever he did as a medic a steward and as a supervisor. Always had time to listen and was always letting people know how proud he as of his children as they grew up. My sincere sympathy to you all in this time of sadness,

We were very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. We knew him through several wonderful group cruises of the Trailer Sailor’s Association in the North Channel of Georgian Bay. Bob’s Mac 26, “Breathless” with crew of Delfina and Mairead was always a centre of joviality.
Bob started with T/SA through the Early Bird familiarization series of cruises, starting from scratch in terms of his sailing knowledge. Within a few years he was doing overnight crossings of Georgian Bay from Parry Sound to Killarney. Friendly, gregarious, always ready to volunteer when something needed doing. Bob will be missed.

Bob was nice enough over the years to allow me and my family to share and spend time with him and his sons at their cottage in Perry Sound, the place holds a fond spot in my heart. It is so unexpected the loss of Bob in his 71st year, He was in better shape then most people half his age. I will surely miss sharing stories with him about the trouble his boys have got into over the years :-).
Gord, Roy, Greg, Larry and all the rest of the family, take this time to reflect on your father and his contributions to your lives, spend time with each other and support each other in ways Bob used to.
We will miss Bob greatly.

When I was thinking of entering the paramedic profession I asked Toronto EMS if I could ride as an observer. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob for the first time. He made me feel accepted and encouraged me to enter the field. I will remember Bob as a mentor, teacher, and friend; a man of integrity, honesty and always giving of himself to help others.

I would like to extend my condolences to Bob’s family, friends, and colleagues. Bob, you will be missed.

My condolences to Bob’s family. So surprised to hear his sudden passing. Bob and I had many pleasant conversations. Although he was not my direct supervisor I turned to him for advice and words of wisdom. It was always a pleasure to see him come around!

Bob was my first supervisor at Toronto EMS and I remember him as being wonderfully kind, incredibly helpful, and passionate about sailing. He will always be remembered as one of the best supervisors I’ve had and I am saddened to hear of his passing.

I am so sorry to Bob’s family to hear of this loss, it is a very sad day. Bob was the Supervisor who would ask ‘how are you?, how are you doing?’ after a tough time when others would not. I never knew Bob personally, but frequently saw him around the hospitals. He was always pleasant, fair and kind. I remember many times him coming to the hospitals to clear crews from off-load delay. He tried just as hard to clear York crews as he did Toronto! I’m truly sorry to hear of his passing!

Bob’s office was at my station and I always had the pleasure of talking and laughing with him. He spoke fondly and proudly of his family and in the younger years of his four boys. One of my first supervisors in Toronto and my most memorable for sure. Bob was always a level head when the stress piled up. He will always be remembered as one of the good guys in this world.

I only met Bob once to give him a tour of the Region of Peels new Tomken Road megastation. Even though he was long retired from the service his passion for the job still burned. I am sure he will be long remembered by friends and family.

A gentle kind soul. A great man. I have found memories of Bob as my supervisor in Toronto. I’m glad to have known him and have witnessed the appreciation for life he shared with sooo many. He will be missed.

I will remember Bob for the bright smile, his patience and understanding and his enduring integrity. A life well lived in the service of others! My condolences to all of Bob’s family and friends.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Bob. The times spent with him and his wonderful sons many years ago stay with me as such fun memories. He always had so many jokes and smiles to share with everyone. His enthusiasm was for life was amazing.

Bob was my 1st supervisor upon being hired with Toronto EMS. He went out his way then and continued to every time I needed any advice or guidance. He would always come up to me a shake my hand and ask me how I was doing and listened to what I had to say. He would take the time to get to know you and establish that trust. I knew I would miss him after he retired but now I will also miss him now that he has passed.

As one of the first cottage owners on Shawanaga Lake, Bob had a strong connection to the community. He was an active volunteer in the town of Dunchurch supporting Bingo, Thanksgiving dinners, and the local church. Because he was a people person, he understood the necessity to stay connected. He hosted summer corn roasts where new residents could get acquainted and older ones could remain in touch. Whether rigging a sailboat or priming a pump, Bob was the “go to” guy. You were a good friend and we will miss you, Bob. Smooth sailing.

Your friends on Shawanaga Lake

Our deepest condolence to the entire Anderson family. We wish we could be there to comfort you when you need it. Once again the physical distance between Canada and Germany is holding us back. It was saddening to hear the passing of your dad so sudden and without giving you the chance to say goodbye. Your sorrow is understandably deep. Remember the countless goodtimes you had together.

I am thankful for the numerous times I was able to enjoy the time at Bob’s cottage which was a great retreat from the everyday. I will treasure those moment for always.

I Loved working with this wonderful gentleman, on the road and
when I worked as a Dispatcher.
Each day he came to work with a Smile and a joke. He loved
to share his jokes, often the laughter would be a stress release for
all TEMS staff.
Bob, had an Amazing Work Ethic. Not only did he love what he
did as a Career, taking care of patients as well as TEMS staff.
TEMS was not a job to Bob, he Loved what he did.
He was a Very Compassionate man.

Bob Anderson was such a nice man. I’ll always remember the many campfires we had at Shawanaga Lake. Whenever I toast a marshmallow I’ll always think of him.

I met Bob as a child. He and my parents bought their properties on Shawanaga Lake in the same year. He was a wonderful neighbour and friend. Bob had a strong presence, even when he wasn’t physically at his beloved cottage. I’m sure his presence will continue to be felt there for a long time to come. I’m very thankful to have known him.

I’m really sorry for the loss of your father Greg. I didn’t know your father, Bob Anderson, but I know he raised a great kid so he must have been an oustanding gentleman.

A neighbour of 12 years growing up on Hesp Dr, the Anderson family was our other “half”. Bob was always quick with a quip, an offer to help with tinkering on my first and subsequent cars and even dragged me into Vic Tannys gym to work out. Mr. Anderson (call me Bob) was that easy going guy with a cool job and a passion for family, work and friends. His inspiration in emergency services helped forge my direction in seeking a like career to help others. Although I have not had contact for many years I will always remember the laugh, the smile and the roar of the TR6. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

I am saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. As the building inspector in Whitestone where Bob spent his summers, I was fortunate to meet him during my many visits while inspecting his cottage.
