Bob passed away at Maple Grove Care Community in Brampton on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Bob joins his loving wife Joan (Watson) (2017), whom he was married to for 61 years. Bob leaves behind four children Bill, Jim (Nancy), Gwen, and Glen (Debbie). Bob was loved by his eight grandchildren, Nicole and Christine Davis, Ashley (Mike) and Lindsay (Dan) Davis, Dawn and Denise (Geoff) Gardhouse, Kyle (Ashley) and Duane (Cassandra) Davis, and seven great-grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Vernet and Winnifred Davis, and his brothers Hartley (Lorna) and Harry (Joan).
Bob and Joan raised their family in Caledon East. Bob enjoyed watching his family grow; many great holiday celebrations were held with Bob and Joan at the family home. Bob worked as a milk tester, spending time with farmers in the area, finishing his career at Ken Speirs Orchards, where he had worked for many years. Bob loved coaching men’s and women’s baseball, and hockey, in Caledon East, Inglewood and Bolton and was also a baseball umpire. He spent some great days travelling and on the golf course with his best friends, Danny, Ronnie and Ray.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Grove Care Community for taking care of Dad.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Bethell Hospice or Headwaters Health Care Foundation.
Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213).
Interment will take place at Caledon East Cemetery.

To the Davis Family,
Our sincere sympathy to you on the passing of your dad. Bob and Joan attended many Bolton Old Timers games and were always there cheering the Team on. Over the years, it was great to see your mom and dad continue to support and socialize with everyone and if your dad didn’t like the Referee’s call, he would certainly let his voice be heard from the stands!
Cherish those wonderful memories!
Thinking of you at this difficult time,

Dad and I can recall many, many happy times with our families together, at Moms baseball games or at a Cannon’s get together etc etc etc….. It seemed The Davis, Cannon, Tweddle & Jones Families spent a lot of amazing times together whole or in part over the years.
What I remember about Bob was his laugh…kind a “snicker/laugh” that always make me laugh it was so infectious. And the time Bob was calling our house in Caledon East and I kept answering the phone “Baffos’s Pizza”… then he would hang up and call again (perhaps 4 time) to the point he had the operator call….I can’t repeat what Bob said to me/about me/ after that…hahahahaha. Good Times, Good Times!
On behalf of my Dad my late Mum and me (Ricky Jones)…. Thanks for all the amazing memories Bob & Family.

Bill, Jim, Gwen, Glen and families,
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Bob. He was such a great visitor and we will remember his many visits to the store after his walks. Ours deepest sympathy to all of you.
John and Joanne Davis and family
I’ve missed Bob since he stopped driving around the corner of Mountainview and Walker. He’d always wind the window down and yell, “How the hell are ya?” Without looking, I recognized that voice and laugh immediately, and we’d have a quick chat. Bob was my baseball coach and hockey coach. His famous, “What are we going to do tonight!?” would motivate the whole Caledon Queen’s dressing room to shout “WIN!!” and if he wanted you to hit the ball into the outfield, he’d simply point at the batter as she walked towards the plate, looking for a signal. I will always remember those fun times at the arena and ball park with Bob (and Joan).
My sincere condolences to all the Davis families.
Rest in Peace Bob.
Bill and family,

Bill,Jim,Gwen,Glen and families,
I have many good memories of Uncle Bob. As a chatty teenager sharing a party line phone system. I would talk with friends too long(all night) and on the first pick up Uncle Bob would have a funny chat with us and then by the third pick up let us know in his own descriptive way it was time to get off the phone. Always with a sense of humour.
Then many years later when Shane was young and we would wait for the school bus he would always stop to chat. Which meant so much.
He will be remembered by many.
Very sorry for your loss
Patty, Drew, Shane and Steve

So sorry to hear about Uncle Bob. So many memories of the Davis’ Christmas when we were younger, celebrated at Grandma Davis’ house. The euchre games were always intense, but fun in their own way.
Let’s hope that Bob, Harry, Hartley and both Joan’s are enjoying a good game of cards like old times!!!
We worked so many years together at Ken Speir’s Orchards . Too many apples to count!!
