Peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on October 2, 2016, Rita Iliene Reid, in her 99th year, beloved wife of the late Earl Reid, Palgrave. Loving mother of Donna and the late Derek Sherlock, Bob and Nancy Reid. Beloved Nanna of Lisa Sherlock, Lori Sherlock, Samantha and William McGregor, Craig and Tanya Reid, Darren and Dale Reid. Adoring Circle Nanna (Great-Grandmother) of Greg, Taryn, Jessie, Jake, Lily, Owen, Aspen, Madison, Brandon, Ashley, Jessica, and Circle Head Nanna (Great-Great-Grandmother) of Joel. Loving sister of Doug Tomlinson and predeceased by Raymond, Ross, Jack, Jean, Joan, Pete, Ronald (Corky), Gordon and Billy Bob. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews and Nanna to all who knew and loved her. Thank you to the staff at the Jane Street Apartment, Bolton and the Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Wednesday evening 7 – 9 o’clock and on Thursday morning, October 6 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.
Following a reception at the funeral home, interment Morningside Cemetery, Palgrave.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin, 25 Centennial Road #1, Orangeville L9W 1R1.

Your mom was lovely, a faithful member of our church, a lovely person to talk to, I would often take her to our church suppers and I enjoyed talking with her. She also came to the pharmacy where I worked , she loved to talk and we enjoyed her conversations, she will be sadly missed
