In her 97th year Our Lord took to Himself our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Renske Spanninga Post, on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Predeceased by her husbands Gerrit Spanninga (1985) and Herman Post (1997). Loving mother of Janna and Bart Douma, John and Hilda Spanninga, Roy and Yvonne Spanninga, Harry and Janny Spanninga, Rita and Jerry Keep, Henk and Mary Post, John and Ena Post, Ben Post, Jeanette and Andy Nijenhuis. Fondly remembered by her 35 grandchildren and 90 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends in the Canadian Reformed Church, 55 C Line, Orangeville on Wednesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Following interment in Greenwood Cemetery a funeral service will be held in the church on Thursday morning, June 9 at 11 o’clock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Institute for the Blind, 1929 Bayview Avenue, Toronto M4G 3E8. Condolences to the entire family! She was such a gentle lady,always grateful for anything we did for her. She suffered greatly at the end, and we rejoice in the fact that her prayers were also answered.
