My condolences on the passing of your father. I got to have some great talks with Reg over the past 6 months, and enjoyed hearing stories of his amazing life. It is an honour to have known him, even for such a short time.

Condolence from John Collins on July 27th, 2015 11:33 am

Steve, Martin, Jenny, Donna

I am sorry to hear the news about Reg. As you know we had many good times together and there will now be no more of those. I’m not sure he would count the time I parked the Rolls and got out without setting the hand brake, but he leant across and fixed the problem and it did give him something to talk about. He will be missed by a good many people.

Please accept condolences from Joy and me.

Our sincere condolences go out to Steve, Martin and families. We really enjoyed spending time with Reg. He was a wonderful friend to our Dad Peter and us as well. He always had great stories of his life. Reg said at the end of his stories ” I’ve had a truly wonderful life”. He always mentioned his beloved wife Audrey in his stories. Condolence from Ann Davidson on July 28th, 2015 11:49 am

My condolences to all your families on the loss of Reg.

He was a unique, fun loving talented man. I have many memories of him, as a loyal customer, frequenting our Home Hardware in search of something to solve a creative problem and often arriving with your Mum in the Rolls. In those days our old store was a place where much kidding and chit chat went on and your Dad fit right in with all the locals.

I know you will miss him greatly but you will have many stories and memories to reflect on.

A long life well lived. The mold is truly broken with his passing!

Sincerely, Ann Davidson

Steve and Martin;

I’m extremely saddened to hear of Reg’s passing, and extend deep sympathies to you, Jenny, Donna, Trevor and Jeremy. No more listening to the umpteenth version of Story #12 to Story #299! The admiration I had for the old boy when Kate and I met him at a restaurant…having been chauffeured there by a woman half his age. Sigh.

Just two weeks ago I was on Prince of Wales Rd. by Shelburne when I saw his Rolls come toward me, southbound. Driven by a young, dark-haired man I assumed was Trevor. What a wonderful last memory of the best best friends’ father a guy could have; never did he quit the roadtrip…

Jeff

Condolence from Glenn Godfrey on July 30th, 2015 11:37 am

Steve and Martin:

It was my privilege to drive Reg to many appointments over the last couple of years. On those trips we chatted about many things: Britain, Churchill, his family, politics and, of course, cars.
I will greatly miss him and his dry sense of humour – even if he did occasionally insist on buying lunch!

We have many memories of them, Steve and Martin, and their families – in the garage, in their home, and in their garden.
