Sincere condolences to the families of Peter Lowden. I knew him only from Townline Fish and Chips and he made sure we always got the best food he could make for us. Thank you for being my friend.
My most sincere condolences to all of the Lowden family on the passing of Peter. I will cherish and remember the good times shared in the many rounds of golf that Peter and I played at Osprey Valley, on Niagara trips, and down in Myrtle Beach. The regular visits to Townline Fish & Chips for a chat and a laugh helped winters fly by until the next golf season arrived. As good an athlete as Peter was, he was an even better person! Peter was liked and respected by all who met him. Rest in peace my good friend.
We are heartbroken to hear of Peter’s passing. Sending our deepest sympathies to the entire Lowden family.

Dear Aunt Bev ,Uncle Jack, Pam, Patty and Paul
My condolences on the loss of Peter. I know all to well how you are feeling right now and all the words one can say at a time like this will not change that. Peter was loved by many and all of us have our own memories of him. So as difficult as things are right now for all of you time will lessen that pain and you will be able to move forward as Peter would want you to. He will not physically be there but he will always be in your hearts no you in his.

It was with great sadness that we learned Peter had passed away , losing his battle to such a dreadful disease as ALS. Peter was always kind and friendly and loving to everyone and although we could not visit often in person, living across the country in California, we always enjoyed great Family times when we were able to make trips ‘home’ to see our Canadian loved ones and got to see and visit with Peter, and later when he was home from playing professional hockey and owning a business in Germany, to remain in Canada, and became the owner of and gracious host to all his customers at his Fish & Chip restaurant. His food was truly delicious and Peter had a very loyal clientele. We are all so blessed to be part of Peter’s life and through our sadness in Peter’s passing we are thankful that he is no longer suffering. Rest in Peace Peter. We love you forever. Auntie Iris, and cousins Marc and Julie and their families, Marc Anthony, Meagan and Dani, Summar (Eric and baby Morrison), Nicholas , and Christopher
Dear Bev and Jack, Paul, Pam and Patti and families.
Peters Auntie Marlene, Uncle Jim, cousins Ron, Rob, Lisa and Josh and families send our most heartfelt condolences on the passing of Peter from such a horrendous illness. Peter was a brave soul enduring this tragedy. He is so loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing this amazing young man. I personally have enjoyed many opportunities to spend time with Peter and so proud of all his accomplishments. Also so grateful for all the times he took his cousin Lisa to places along with his brother Paul when she lived with them on weekends during her stay at the ballet school.
I thank Peter for his kindness, understanding and attention he gave her. We will miss immensely this wonderful and generous young man, our family send our deepest and most sorrowfull condolences to my sister and her husband, my nephew Paul and nieces Pam and Patti and their families. A beautiful and talented man in all ways. Peace be with you Peter. Love you forever.

My Dear friends Bevy, Jacky:

I pray that God in his infinite wisdom will grant you the grace and strength sufficient to deal with this ordeal!
I met Peter in 1989 in Memmingen, I was an American playing on the junior hockey team there and we became very good friends the year I spent in Germany. He was very much a mentor to me both on the ice as well as navigating a foreign country and helping get through the first few months which were tough! My heart broke upon hearing about Peters passing, I’m still trying to come to grips with it! My condolences to the Lowden family and condolences from Hugo Warter and Christian Loesaus who were great fans of the Lowden brothers. They were incredible on the ice together!!
Thank you Jason. We Pete’s mom and Dad remember you. Peter spoke fluent German which helped also. Peter is a very special gentleman, hockey player and friend . We have been blessed with having a son of his character .
To Mr. and Mrs. Lowden
My deepest condolences and prayers for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Peter in selling his business we had some laughs and some stressful moments. He was a wonderful person considerate of others, his staff and making sure everything was done well. May he Rest In Peace.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowden, Patti, Pam and Paul. Me and my family were very sorry to hear of Peters Passing. He was a great friend and teammate. I will miss him and will pray for him always.
I just heard of Peter’s passsing from coach Miller of Henry Carr. I have many fond memories of being friends and team mates with both Peter along with Paul while we played together at Ferris State. I have always looked back fondly on our friendship and the fun we had along with Peter travelling in the old Cadillac to and from practices and games at Ewigilben and hanging out afterward at the house we shared with Arnie. I can still picture spraying ether on the engine block of that 4 am after getting back from a Saturday night game at Michigan State and watching a fire start. I’m pretty sure it was Paul who grabbed Pete’s new hockey jacket and threw over the flames. That was a memorable night/morning in Big Rapids.
Gone but not forgotten Peter – my prayers are with you and your family.
