Condolence from David Doel on August 1st, 2018 10:01 am

Dear Stephanie, Lori & family,

I’m so sorry for your loss. During my visits to your home over the years Peter was always welcoming, kind, and interested in how my life was going. I remember a nice dinner the four of us had at a restaurant in Bolton where we all chatted about life and our career aspirations. He had a quiet wisdom that could be intimidating to a young man like me at first, until you got him to crack a smile or laugh and you instantly felt comfortable; and I could always tell he deeply loved his family. Peter will be missed but never forgotten.

Sending my love to all of you,
David Doel

My brother always there for me one of the funniest stories I can tell you I’m sure some of you have heard before I was 17 and we were all at the drive-in back row filled with Sant and Friends someone brought beer okay maybe we all brought beer after Dark a plain clothes policeman came up behind us and pointed at about 6 people with beers in their hands he didn’t see Peter I was one of the six people he pointed at said you all come over here to my car when the cop turned away Peter grabbed my arm and pushed me away and stood in my spot the cop turned around and said what are you doing here so Peter just smiled and said okay I’ll go as he started to walk away he didn’t get far they made him come back they all got tickets for drinking out of residence instead of me getting a ticket for underage he had my back as he did all through my life it was around then when I started to be accepted into his group of friends that soon became my friends going on snowmobile trips fishing trips even hunting trips to the swamp my most cherished memories with Peter would be playing guitar and fishing where him and I would have the best conversations about life if you ask me who I had the most fun with my life it was you Pete I will never say goodbye every fishing rod I hold you will be sitting beside me every time my guitar comes out of the case you will be there with me telling me when to change chords every black pickup truck I will see you my brother my best friend
