Pearl & I have been good friends for at keast 30 years , Pearl had a marvellous sense of humour and had special sayings for each occasion . Pearl joined me for many years at my cottage in Quebec , my cottage neighbours always ask about her and will miss her . Pearl has been a good friend over the years. Pearl had many friends and was very knowledgeable about Brampton.

Pearl had a gift; she could relate to virtually anyone. Her empathy and giving spirit brought her a rainbow of friends, whether it was through bowling, BPW, bridge, Florida driving buddies, clients, or family. She loved my kids and always had us to her apartment for holiday meals, cooking for the “mob” and delighting everyone. She gave selflessly to our charity the FXRFC, keeping the books for years for a smile and a hug. Most of all Pearl had common sense in spades. Her quick wit and ability to assess disingenuous motives, left many in the cinders of her calm yet incendiary remarks. A brilliant mind, a person who rose up from a Rosedale housemaid to the David who could take on the CRA. A Champion. I miss her dearly.

Pearl and I met through BPW over 20 years ago. She was an amazing person, I loved her sense of humor and honesty. Always quick witted and had a smile for everyone. I will miss my friend.

Pearl was a wonderful friend and visitor to the Sundridge area. She grew up in the area and became a special friend to my Mother, Fannie Smith. From humble beginnings Pearl grew into an amazing knowledgeable person. Nothing stood in Pearl’s way. I remember vividly the outfits Pearl made my sister, Faye and I, when we were young. Throughout the years our family never lost touch. When my Mother went into a nursing home Pearl’s visits were welcomed with great joy. Her summer visits to the Brownrigg household was a pleasure, filled with story telling and much laughter. Pearl was a true friend and she will be missed.

Pearl has been a good friend of our family (the Gordon and Thelma Hutchison (Wayne and Donna) Family for over 60 some years. She played bridge with Thelma, Marg Morrison and friends for many years and then myself Donna (Jean) and friends. She spent many fun hours with us at the cottage. She also became good friends with Mom’s second husband Egerton Wilkinson and Family. I was going to get in touch with Pearl as we usually go out for Ti food over the Christmas Season when I was told she had died the day before. We had just moved and I wanted to tell Pearl where we were and to arrange our date with herself, Margo Thompson and my husband Bruce and myself. Our family will really miss her. Pearl will be missed by a lot of people. She was my sister-in-law , and my whole family of five children , all tried to visit
her at my home when she drove all the way from Brampton and stayed for a few days. until 2016. she was such a joy to listen to. All her funny moments, and stories throughout her life . My children did not want to miss listening to her. We would go visit some of her friends each time also. We will all miss her laughter and kind nature .Pearl, we all loved you dearly.

Pearl was a beautiful lady and BPW Sister. We have shared many laughs, meals, events and euchre games over the years. As others felt, she was always smiling, had very interesting stories and was an extremely sharp lady. I was also blessed to receive financial support on behalf of the Ste. Louise Food Bank in Brampton. Since her passing, Pearl is still making a difference through several donations received from her friends and BPW Sisters. Our deepest sympathies to her family and friends during this difficult time. May you all find peace in knowing that Pearl may have passed but she will never be forgotten in our hearts.

My cousin Pearl will be truly missed. We had a wonderful trip to B.C. to visit relatives a few years ago and Pearl was a great help with the family tree. We enjoyed many happy times together with family and friends. I admired Pearl for her hard work and she was always happy, compassionate and had a great sense of humour. I will cherish those memories. I knew Pearl pretty much 40 years. Pearl, Jean MacCreath, Lorraine Moore, and another lady played bridge everyweek alternating at peoples places. She was a very smart woman who knew everything you needed to know about Brampton…She was on Mcmurchy Ave for decades, where I would pop up and share a bottle of wine and listen to her stories.
