Paul Pfundt, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, with his beloved wife, Roberta, and family by his side.
Born in Budaörs, Hungary, Paul carried with him a deep sense of determination, resilience, and loyalty throughout his life. A lifelong horseman, he took great pride in the hobby farm he built with Roberta and in breeding thoroughbred racehorses. Family was always at the centre of his life, and he was known for his generosity, larger than life personality, and unforgettable sense of humour, which brought laughter and joy to all who knew him.
Paul married the love of his life, Roberta. Together they built a life rooted in family, loyalty, and enduring love. Their story was one of unwavering devotion, partnership, and laughter, built through nearly 70 years of standing beside one another through every season of life.
He was a devoted father to Katharina and her partner, David, and to Robert and his wife, Natalie. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Amanda and her husband, Drew; Michael and his wife, Samantha; Jonathan; and Kathryn. He was also a cherished great grandfather to Connor and Mason, who brought him immense joy.
Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Adalbert, Andreas, and Matthias, and by his parents, Andreas and Katharina.
Paul will be remembered for his strength, kindness, unforgettable sense of humour, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down, the laughter he shared, and the many lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Wednesday from 4 to 7 o’clock.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning, June 4 at 11 o’clock.
Interment Caledon East Public Cemetery.
