Sapianio Web

March 10, 1971 – August 15, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul J. Sapiano on Saturday, August 15th, 2026.  He is survived by his daughter Lauren McAllister and grandchildren Colt and Layla; his mother and father Linda and Joe Sapiano; his sister Lisa Sapiano-Ayers and nephews Hayden and CJ.  He will forever be in the thoughts of his many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Paul is already a large missing piece in our lives.  He would always do anything for anyone.  His door was always open for anyone who needed help.  With his profound knowledge of cars and great restaurants he was often the ‘go to guy’ for everyone and, if he couldn’t help you, he ‘had a guy’ who could.  His shop was more than his place to work.  It was the meeting place for great friends and car enthusiasts alike.  His grandchildren looked up to him because he could fix anything and he was a staple in their lives.  His nephews knew he was always up for a ride on the dirt bike/four wheelers, vehicle advice or to tickle them senseless.

He will forever be missed and remembered.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday afternoon, September 1st from 2 – 4 and evening 6 – 8 o’clock.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association, Toronto (cmhato.org)

Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

My deepest condolences to Lauren and family. Paul was a special friend to me and my family for the last 26 years. We talked regularly and I will remember all the good laughs, we had and usually it was at someone elses expense. Loved him like a brother and he will be sadly missed.

Condolence from George Papadeas on August 25th, 2026 3:32 pm

All our heartfelt condolences to his entire family and friends!
Our entire family are truly heartbroken at Paul’s passing. Paulie(as we called him) was kind hearted and would do anything for a friend. We got to know Paulie over the many years as he visited Babalou’s and not only became our mechanic but a member of our family and a good friend.
Whether we visited the shop for a quick hello or needed some work done on our cars, he would always stop what he’d be doing and greet us with a hug, a hand shake and the warmest of smiles. Never once did we feel rushed to go. A joke or two at Toula’s expense and it set things up for a good day.
We are all still in shock at the idea that he is gone. Our world has gotten a lot sadder and we will all miss him.
Until we meet again in that shop in the sky, Paulie know that we love you and you will be in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.

Rest in peace, my friend and may your memory be eternal!

I’m going to miss you so much Paul. Our hangouts, All our texts and talks. you will always be in my heart. I will always remember the first day I met you, Mark and Ralph 25 years ago at the bakery. You guys were there almost everyday for lunch. You trusted my family with food and I trusted you with my cars. We all hung out and partied cause we were young. You were the nicest and most honest person and had the biggest heart. You loved to laugh at my car fixtures, like when I came to see you three weeks ago you were laughing at my black tape on my tailgate holding my handle. You always had a smile on your face. You always spoke about your daughter, grandkids and nephews. You loved them so much. I will never forget you.

Rest in peace buddy!

Paul was a big influence on me growing up on the same street and later working on race cars. My father and I were blessed to have the shop next to him. He was always there to help and give great advise. It’s a shock that he’s gone. He had so much knowledge to pass on and always did it with a smile and his laugh. RIP Paul.

Paul, I will never forget your friendship and how you always seemed to know everything about cars. You were always there to help people, and I will always remember your kindness and generosity.
I first met you at the bakery, and from there, our friendship grew. You even helped me get a job at Carquest in Bolton. I’ll never forget delivering parts to you, all the times I spent hanging out in your shop, and watching you work on and fix your cars.
You were a truly special person, and I feel grateful to have known you. You will forever be missed and never forgotten.
Rest in peace, my friend. ❤️

Condolence from Paul Tassone on August 25th, 2026 7:10 pm

My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

We go back along long time, and man, we sure had some good times. The late nights at the shop, working on cars, snowmobiling, road trips, racing, and all the laughs that went along with it. There are so many memories with you, Andrew, Dennis, Ralph and the rest of the crew that I’ll never forget.

You were one of those guys who could turn a normal night into a story we’d still be laughing about years later. You had a way of giving everyone a hard time, and we loved every second of it.

Thanks for all the years, all the laughs, and all the memories.

Condolence from Tony Pontieri on August 25th, 2026 11:06 pm

I’ve known Paul for half my life. Met him in the 90’s & gave him the name “Paul 2000” because he was so advanced; If I had a question, he had the answer. We bonded over our shared love of mechanics & race cars. Paul was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone if they needed it. No hesitation, no conditions — just pure heart. His knowledge, kindness, and friendship meant the world to me. I’m going to miss him. Wishing peace & comfort to all family & friends.

Rest in peace Paul 2000 aka “the Mayor”

Sincerely, Tony & Jackie Pontieri & family
