You have lost a dear wife, a loving mother, a daughter, a sister and the rest of us have lost a dear friend and the most wonderful upbeat person I ever had the chance to meet. Pam had the most infectious laugh and a way of looking at the worse of things and make you feel that it could be done, like the way she battled her cancer. She was an inspiration. I will miss her.

Condolence from Enza Teixeira on January 23rd, 2012 1:53 pm

Dear Ozzy, Luke and Brooklyn

I am very saddened to hear about Pam’s passing. I am grateful that I had a chance to visit with her a couple of weeks ago in hospital and exchanged a few texts with her prior to that, sending her well wishes and I was amazed at how strong she was. In fact I was in awe of her courage and her positive attitude. She was and will always be an inspiration to me.

We worked together at Service Canada at the Downsview office about 17/18 years ago. Although we didn’t keep in contact on a regular basis, whenever we did speak, it was like old times…we could pick up where we left off with no problems.

Pam was a wonderful, kind, loving and funny woman but most of all a dear friend. I will truly miss her.

My deepest condolences

Enza Teixeira

Condolence from Dave Duncalfe on January 24th, 2012 2:52 pm

Pam was a bright light in the darkness. She was so wise and so articlate in her wonderfully quiet way, generous with all of us, understanding and allowing for the crazy motives that make us act as foolishly as we do. I was very fond of her and, even though we hadn’t seen each other for a couple of years, will miss her not being in the world. My deepest condolences to her family.

Although Pam has left us much too soon, I know that her memory and spirit will live on in our hearts. I will remember her gentleness, her kindness, her love of life. Most of all, I will remember the slightly impish twinkle in her eye and her bright smile that lit up the day. It was a privilege to know and work with Pam. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

Condolence from Don Morrow on January 25th, 2012 10:42 am

Dear Doug and Jackie,
Forty-five years ago I had a terrific biology teacher. She was innovative and asked her students to do oral presentations. It was Jackie’s feedback to me, on that assignment, that made me want to become a teacher. I remember Mrs. French being pregnant and giving birth that year. Then, in 200I after I retired from being a school principal, I met a very nice man named Doug, while curling. I have enjoyed his company and always found him to be a good sport, very kind and encouraging to teammates and opponents.
I am so sorry that the two of you have had this terrible tragedy in your lives. What I know for sure is, your daughter Pam had to be surrounded with kindness, support, encouragement and love in her life. I know her children and husband will receive more of the same from you two wonderful people. I am positive that the most powerful antidote to your grief will be your efforts to support Pam’s family. I speculate that it was of great comfort to Pam, when dealing with her illness, to know she was leaving her family surrounded in the glow of the love and care you two provide.
Please know I feel very sad, for you and Pam’s family. May your pain soon give way to happy memories and warm remembrances of your lovely daughter, Pam.
Sincerely, Don Morrow
