Condolence from Debra Martini on April 8th, 2014 1:33 pm

Norm is someone that I think about often. He is still a well known name at the Red Cross Transportation Department, where I worked with him and he has been missed everyday since he retired.
The mention of his name always brings a smile to everyone’s face and he always had a smile for everyone. He will remain a fond memory of mine.

My heart is with his family at this time and hope they take comfort in all the wonderful memories they have with him.

Norm was a most helpful and pleasant man to be around. He always helped out whenever he could in the amateur radio community and will be sadly missed by many of his fellow operators. Norm will always be remembered as “one of the good ones”. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Norm’s family during this difficult and sad time.

Condolence from Sheryl Guest on April 9th, 2014 12:12 pm

Norm worked for me a number of years ago at the Red Cross. I no longer live in the area but the team was kind enough to let me know of Norm’s passing. He was a wonderful man and a joy to work with. He often spoke of his family lovingly. He was supportive and encouraging and cared for his clients. He had a great sense of humour and was generous with what he had (I remember that asparagus)! My sympathies are with his family in the passing of a truly dear husband and father.

Condolence from STAN AND JOAN BOYINGTON AND FAMILY on April 9th, 2014 2:58 pm

Our deepest sympathies on the passing of such a kind and generous husband, father and friend. Norm had many interests including aviation, and two years ago he achieved a long hoped-for opportunity to fly in a Harvard aircraft at the Brampton Flying Club. The poem HIGH FLIGHT’s last line, “Put out my hand and touched the face of God” is offered in memory of Norm.

Condolence from Hart Bayne VA3OU on April 9th, 2014 4:14 pm

Dear Family and Friends of Norman VA3ABL

Please accept my sincere Condolences on your loss.

Norm was an important part of the Ontario Amateur Radio Service Net.

Volunteering his time to his fellow Amateurs to accepting their

check in to the Net was always appreciated by me.

As one of the former Managers of the ONTARS Net I can attest to

the difficulty of obtaining the critical help of volunteer controllers.

I just want to offer my thanks for Norm’s reliable and cheerful

contributions to Amateur Radio.
