Condolences for the family of “Myrna Jean Armstrong (nee Bamford)”

Condolence from Liz Wylie on October 31st, 2011 8:54 pm

Myrna was my wonderful teaching assistant at Macville Public School. We had many fun times and some stressful ones but together we made it through. She was very proud of her family and recounted many great stories about them. After we retired, we had many delicious lunches together with Bonnie and Joyce. Sometimes at The Wishbone or Swiss Chalet or where ever Myrna wanted to go on that particular day. I will always remember the good times, the laughs and especially the friendship. Rest in Peace Myrna – you will be missed! Love Liz xoxo

Condolence from Helen & Jim Dalton on November 1st, 2011 2:49 pm

Myrna was my dearest best friend. When she came up to visit us in Barrie we always reminisced of all the fun silly things we did when we were young. We both loved to dance and alot of times we danced together. Myrna always spoke about her boys, then she would correct herself by saying “I mean men”. She truly loved them with all her heart. Fond memories of Myrna will live inside my heart forever. I will never forget you Myrna, being a part of your life was truly the most wonderful gift. Missing & loving you forever. Our condolences go out to her sons and families.

Love Helen & Jim Dalton

Condolence from Lynn & Dan McNellan on November 1st, 2011 3:22 pm

We are deeply saddened by Myrna’s passing. She was an amazing person. Very knowledgable, caring and loving woman who adored her sons. I remember dancing with her all night at my mother’s 75th birthday party in Barrie. She sure knew how to dance! Visiting with her at my mothers house, and speaking to her on the phone almost every night, I truly will miss Myrna, as she had that special something that drew people close to her. She was a very special lady and Dan & I will never forget her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Myrna and her sons, Stephen, Michael, Chris, Kelly and their families.
Love U Forever Myrna Kisses and Hugs xxxxoooo

Condolence from Joyce MacKinnon on November 6th, 2011 9:11 pm

To Myrna’s boys,
My deepest sympathy on the passing of your incredible mom.

I had the joy of sharing a classroom with your mom for 2 years as she assisted a special little girl, and in the process was there for a group of children who had travelled with her from kindergarten up to my grade 4 and then grade 5 class. She kept us all in line as she guided, and loved us. We knew when we needed to pull up our socks as we knew when we had done well – and I mean “we”. She was so supportive of me when my husband first was diagnosed with cancer and then passed away. Along the way we had lots of laughs – and the stories that she shared – and then there was the utter surprise when I first saw her doing the jive at a staff party – boy, could she shake her booty – I couldn’t believe it – and then her penmanship – did you ever see such beautiful writing on any cards you received.
She loved her “boys”………..there was so much pride in her voice when she spoke of you…………when I had a visit with her just the week before she passed away she shared again how important you were to her – how she loved you and was concerned for your well being. And we had some laughs, again, as we shared memories of those 2 years in that classroom.
She will be missed –
My prayers for your grief journey………feel her in the wind, and see her in the trees and birds around you……..she will always be with you.
Blessings,
Joyce

Myrna and I have been friends as long as I have been at the Bolton Library. She was not happy the last time we spoke and I will miss her.
