Dear Lauren & Tyler……I have fond memories of your handsome father all the way back to your elementary school days. He was always very kind and supportive of me while I taught at St. Timothy School. I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family at this most difficult time. Cherish all the good times spent together.

It is hard to believe we are sending you this message. Our hearts ache for you, and we are so deeply sorry for your loss. Michael was not only a wonderful neighbour and friend, but someone Peter truly enjoyed working alongside at Copper Creek. We will always remember his kindness, his steady presence, and his smile when we were together. We will miss him, too.
Please know that we are holding you close in our thoughts. We wish we could be there physically for support right now and to attend his celebration of life. Please know we are there, spiritually. I always admired Mike for his patience, and thoughtfulness. He always took pride in his ability to help others. Donna, Lauren, & Tyler I know you will miss the great father & husband he was. I had sincerely hoped to pay my respects and support to my sister and her family at his ‘celebration of life’, setting aside time to be there at this busy time of year. I have the loveliest memories of Mike. Nothing was more exciting than Mike’s visits to our house when he had flower deliveries in Northumberland! Matt and I would look forward to those visits all throughout our childhood. Mike brought endless energy, fun and laughter! Everyone was in good spirits when Mike was around.

The friendship that Mike and my dad had remains a model for me of how friendship can endure all the ages and stages of life!

I lost contact with Michael over the years, but I am thinking of him often over the recent days.
My connection with Michael goes back to being students together at Our Lady of Peace elementary school on Mattice Ave in Islington.
