Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Brampton Civic Hospital, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Mary Margaret Balzan, in her 87th year, beloved wife of the late John Joseph Balzan. Dear mother of Grace, Tony and his wife Moire, Charlie and his wife Cathy. Cherished Nanna of Christopher, Vanessa, Mark, Maire, Breandan, Aidan, Connor, and Kieran. Loving great-grandmother of Mia May. Dear sister of the late Carmena, Suzanna, Delina, Paulina, Sylvia, and Joe.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Thursday evening 5 – 8 o’clock and on Friday morning, February 8 from 11 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12 noon.
Interment Caledon East Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of the Peel, 60 Briarwood Avenue, Mississauga L5G 3N6.

Our most sincere condolences to all of Mary’s family on her passing. Mary, John, and family were great friends and support to the Farrugia family especially when we were growing up. After almost 60 years of friendship and many changes in all our lives, Mary was a dear friend, especially to Mom (Evelyn) and will be truly missed by us all.
So sorry for your loss.
Dearest Cathy & Charlie and family, Grace, Tony & Moire and family; I pray that God Blesses you and gives you strength at this difficult time that you find comfort in knowing your mom is no longer in any pain and she is with her loved ones who have already crossed over. One day you will see her and all your loved ones again.
