Kathy was a delightful woman whom I met at Tai Chi. She always had a smile and would chatter at class while working hard, sitting when she needed a rest. She always seemed fiesty and enthusiastic about Tai Chi and life. Sending my sincere condolences to all of her family at this difficult time.

Kathy became a friend through Tai Chi. We moved on to doing lunches and Kathy consulted many times in my garden (those are weeds, she would tell me). I will really miss her great sense of humour. She was a good friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Kathy was a valued member of the horticultural community, sharing her incredible knowledge with so many new gardeners. I enjoyed her company as a fellow board member of the Bolton Horticultural Society where she was always a positive influence with her gentle manner and sense of humour. I’m just one of many friends who will miss her a lot. Rest in peace Kathy.

I first met Kathy at a Rock Garden meeting, over 30 years ago. We both belonged to various other horticultural groups and it was always a pleasure to talk to her.
She gave me supper a couple of times before I gave presentations to the Bolton Hort. Society. I wonder how Kathy was whenever we drove along Mayfield Road
I emailed the Toronto Master Gardeners. Many replied that they really enjoyed talking to her. She was so knowledgeable and generous (and quietly proud of Grey too)
My sympathy to you all

As volunteers at Toronto Botanical Garden in the horticultural library, Kathy and I shared anecdotes and book talks. We also worked together as Toronto Master Gardeners. I missed her when she decided to retire. And I miss her smile and impish comments still.

My condolences to Kathy’s family and friends. I volunteered with Kathy as a fellow board member of the Bolton Horticultural Society. Kathy had such a gentle soul and kind manner. She was positive and supportive, eager to know how she could help. I also loved how her eyes lit up and her young at heart spirit shone through when telling a funny story. She was a passionate gardener and I wish I could have learned more from her. She will be missed.
