Peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville, on Thursday, March 1, 2012, Eldene Turner, in her 86th year, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Beloved wife of the late Kent Johnston (2006). Loving mother of Reverend Dr. Ross and Beverley Johnston, Bruce and Dianne Johnston, David and Sue Johnston, Joy and Doug Ford and predeceased by Janie Johnston. Cherished grandmother of Heidi and Ryan, Kent, Michelle; Nicole and Dominic, Jeffrey, Matthew; Jason, Krista and Steve, Rebecka and Charlie; Brittany, Connor. Dear great-grandmother of Ashton, Jace, Kobe, Kali, Oliver, Lexi, Gage, Kaylin, and Drake. Dear sister of Ross, Donald, Isabelle, Paul and the late Wallace, Jimmy and Adrian.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Monday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in Faith Community Wesleyan Church, 21170 Hurontario Street (Hwy 10), Orangeville on Tuesday, March 6 at one o’clock. Interment Mansfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mansfield. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Faith Community Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 303, Orangeville L9W 2Z7. We are so sorry to hear of Eldine leaving us, We are confident she is with our Lord and is celebrating all the good she gave to us. Or thoughts and prayers are with her loving family.
So sorry to hear of the passing of youre dear mother.S he was such a nice lady. I only got to know her at the Avalon wher my mother stays. Joy, you were so good to her, feeding her often. My thoughts are with you all at the difficult time. Shirley, Jack and Alberta Howes.

Joy, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was such a kind and friendly lady. You have been such a loving and faithful daughter. I know how proud of you she is. My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. I am in Florida and just found out today.
We were so sorry to hear of Eldene’s passing. She was a lovely lady, we loved her praise reports and she will be missed.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences, Eldene was a dear person and I only wish that I had known her better. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to visit with her and Kent during my last trip to Canada. She shared many wonderful memories of my mother (her Aunt Laurie) and I was very grateful for her kind words.

We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Eldene’s death. We will truly miss her. She was such a sweet, kind and lovable lady.I’m so glad my kids got a chance to meet her at cousin JD’s house several years ago. She always had nice things to say about my family.I used to love to get her Christmas cards with the 5 page letter describing everything the Johnston family was up to. Our deepest sympathy for your loss.
Although, I didn’t know Eldene as well as most. I had the privledge of selling her a car. It was one of my first car sales and I will never forget when she got behind the wheel for the test drive and said with a chuckle “May God be with you!”

My mother, Daisy, and I missed your mother`s annual Christmas card and cheery note. But it wasn`t until recently that I learnt of her passing. The loss of a parent leaves such a hole in one`s life, but you were blest to have had such a nice woman as your mother. I`m sure she is in a much better place now.
