Peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Mary Currie, in her 84th year, beloved wife of the late Donald Currie. Loving mother of Leslie, and Jason (Diana). Cherished grandmother of William (Kali), Julian, Maeva and Innis.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S., (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday afternoon 2-4 and evening 6-8 o’clock.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning, August 30 at 11 o’clock.
Interment Providence Cemetery, Caledon.
Reception to follow at Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall.

There are so many good memories of Mary , whether it was at a Saturday night dance at the Innis Lake Hall , or with the many conversations we had, and especially we remember her tremendous help and skill at making our wedding reception the best it could be, 36 years ago. Mary will be missed.

Mary, Don, Lesley and Jason were among some of the first people I met when I moved to Caledon and they were all so kind. I had many good times working at the Lake. Don’s roast beef was the best and I will always remember Mary being kind and so calm.

I will always remember your mother with fondness, yelling at me in the kitchen in the Hall, while smiling. She was loved (and sometimes feared) for her strength of character and conviction as well as her empathy. She was a pillar of strength and will be missed by all who knew her.
