Condolence from Len & Jean Kwint on February 10th, 2011 4:41 pm

Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She certainly had a good life and enjoyed all the family. We remember a picnic we had at the marina with your Mom and Dad and Cheryl and family were here from the west. We shouldn’t have been there at a family get together but as usual were made very welcome. Mom and Dad seemed so happy to be with everyone. Dad also enjoyed a ride in Len’s old truck. He said he use to use a truck much like it to chase cows back in the day. Love Len and Jean

Condolence from Davileen Heffernan on February 13th, 2011 12:57 am

The loss of Marion feels like the end of an era.

In many ways, I feel as if she has thrown me the torch of keeping up the historical memory of the St. Patrick / Wildfield Community.

There were many days in the 1990s, while I was teaching at St. Patrick’s, that I would visit with her after school.

Upon my arrival, Ed, would be outside on the doorstep to greet me, along side of the dog.

After some chatter about school and families, Marion and I would go downstairs.

We’d dig out the boxes of photos and memorabilia and then time would vanish.

Marion was so generous to allow me to take “originals on-loan.” Of course, I had to swear on a stack of Bibles and my Life that no harm would come to the items and I would return them ASAP. Usually, that meant the next day. I was sooo respectful of her property and also sooo terrified that something might happen, that I had copies made right away.

I love Marion and admired her spirit, her smile, and her sentiments.

May Marion be eternally blessed.

Davileen

Condolence from Roberta Frost on February 14th, 2011 1:43 pm

Such found memories of Marian and Ed. Ed was a first cousin of my Mother Ann O’Donnell Dolezilek. We first visited them in the late 1940’s. I remember staying overnight with the girls. I especially remember Edra. We had such fun. Then again in the early 70’s and in the late 90’s we visited them. Not often but always very remeriable. Marian was very helpful to me in gathering information for the O’Donnell geneology. Also what a great time at the O’Donnell reunion. They were such a great couple. THank you GOd for making us cousins and memories. God Bless all of you. THey loved their family so much. Roberta Frost
